Good vid. I use squeeze clamps on board as well, very useful. Don't forget mask and snorkel. They weigh nothing, and becuae they are both hollow, they take up minimal space.
@DL9619 It is a Perception ( Prodigy 10 ). This type and size is great for almost any lakes, streams and backwaters. I've taken it into the bay and river but, it is better to have a twelve footer for big water.
nice bro, i do a lot of kayak fishing and being on a large bay i was thinking the same thing. you could get a green or dark tarp for the yak. btw hennessy hammocks are great check them out
My biggest concern would be alligators. It looks like you are someplace in the south where alligators are prevalent. A big gator to turn over a yak real easy. Otherwise, the yak makes a great bug out vehicle to areas that nobody else can get to.
Great Rig Brother , That Area is a nice spot and those underwater trees will get you I have dumped around this area if i am correct in guessing where you are ,those trees can snag you and your gear not to mention the fish hooks that get stuck there in the trees good video ! i would maybe have a bildge pump tho draining a yak in the middle of those trees sucks .. peace
@Wildernessliving Yea, I get hung up on stumps a lot in this spot. I will not wear a vest there unless the water is cold because in warm water there is more danger from a vest snag.
Wonderful as always, man I envy you out on that lake, I dream about escaping this concrete jungle/prison every hour instead of every day when I see your videos
Great vid kamo, last week I was kayaking up on a high mountain lake and flipped the thing in 40 degree water..luckly I was only a few feet from shore:)
@beast12101 I have not seen the Mokai's but, I keep looking for an up-grade that is not too pricey. I bought this one at a time when cash was tight and I got a good deal for two Yaks in the off season. Now I want something just a little bigger (this is 10ft. long) and in a low profile color.
Great timing Bro! I just bought two Yaks in the last week for my Bride and I! I got tired of relying on others to go canoeing, and decided a Yak was the way to go! The two I bought are not perfect, but it gets us out of the house and enjoying Mother Nature!
@Diopterman Good deal, Yaks have a way of making you free. I turn down oppurtunities to go out on Motor boats most times because I like the freedom and privacy of the Yak. It brings you closer to nature too. Hey, any yak is a good yak in my book. Just don't yak in the yak.
Maybe it would be a good idea to put your BOB stuff in a dry sack? Or at least put your BOB in a garbage bag for some sort of waterproofing...

@TheRedHawk123 I know that feel, it takes the breath away. I would use a vest in that situation.

i would put a flotation device in your pack so if it goes over it would float.
