Having served in Iraq, I dont understand why it is considered "cheaper" to hire these yahoos. When they came in our clinic they refused to empty their weapons,which was a requirement. It's cheaper in the long term. When you get injured and disabled you can get a certain percent from the VA. If you retire you get a pension too. These Mercs receive nothing. I'm ure these guys pay for some insurance provided by the company in case of death or injury. It won't be long before Black Water outsources some of the security to Mercs from other countries. As you know the spec warfare community is the only brotherhood left in the military. These guys make friends all over the world.

Blackwater says they were shot at enough to bust one of their vehicles and the Iraqi say they were targeted by Blackwater for no reason. Instead of asking which account is truthful, one might consider that they both are. I don't believe Blackwater... over 1,000,000 Iraqi civilians(men, women, children) have been KILLED. Who is doing the killing. Lets make up some numbers... Lets say that for 7 years on average 1 terrorist bomb attacks per day, each one kills mostly soldiers and Iraqi military I would think, but lets say one attack 20 dead civilians. I got 51,110. Thats not even close to half of the actual death tole. You can raise that number to 100 and still get 1/4 of a Mil.

Under food for oil, Iraqi was free to allocate oil to whom it wished. The bulk of Iraq contracts were awarded to France, Russia, and China but not to the US or UK. You were simply not getting the oil at $4 a barrel.
