  • 13:10 she answered my question just as I thought of it.

  • She reminds me of Angela Lansbury!

  • I love how she gives us the translation of the latin roots. What a helpful way to memorize new and intimidating medical terms!!!

  • Prof. Diamond you are the best, just watched the videos of the endocrine system put up on academic earth, have seen them all now and they are all just briliant, but i spat coffie all over my computer when you said "god middag" in the beginning of #II lecture, im from denmark and it was so funny to hear I just couldnt stop laughing. 8-) Thank you and berkeley for all the great leassons, hope thereis more to come? - and hope to someday see the school if im able.

God eftermiddag til jer alle. ;)

  • I will never be able to take an actual course with this Professor but I want you to know that I learned more in the first 15 minutes of her lecture than I did in my entire BIO 210 class. Old school...gotta love it!

  • thanks for posting the lecture

  • Though this is a bit too basic, it is so much better than the power-point presentations we get!

  • I'd do her

  • Old skool....great teacher.

  • I wish I had a teacher like that, my teacher bores me to death

  • She seems to enjoy teatching a lot, I wish I had had professors like her in my graduation.

  • She seems to enjoy teatching a lot, I wish I had had professors like her in my graduation.

  • Watching her write the words after hearing her say them can enhance learning. If this works for you, try writing down each bit of information that you need to study. Think of the words or say them to yourself as you write. This can really help you get the information from your short term memory into your long term memory. For me, watching her draw the organs, etc also helps me visualize them later on much more so that looking at a picture in a published drawing. or picture.

  • As for me, all these lectures of this lovely lady are lectured at a bit low (elementary) level for a university class. Can I ask, what kind of course is it, and recommended for whom ?

  • As a Sophomore nursing student, these lectures are more informative than anything I learned in A&P class

  • why couldn't they have lecturers like these at my 'university'.

  • I know I am far from the first to say this, but this professor is fabulous! She is very thorough, easy to follow, and really knows her stuff. I really enjoy her lectures, they are most helpful to compliment what I am reading in my text book.

  • ...the best teacher in the entire world....teaching at it's best!

  • By the way... who needs power point? Just more confusion... her lectures are wonderful...

  • Wow... I have just started watching these videos. I am only watching to get some extra learning in before writing the MCAT... anyway, this professor is lovely and brilliant. Her lecture is so well organized and easily digestible. What a fantastic professor. Thank you for posting this for everyone out here. I wish I had gone to your school!! U of Toronto was fun too, though...

  • much better than my teacher !!!!

  • Thank you so much, you are a very good teacher. I guess that is the reason why you are teaching at Berkley, the students should be happy to have you.

  • nyC one

  • Endocrine at 27:44

  • wow this teacher is awesome

  • lady I got 2 words for you, Power Points

  • where is the first part of this lecture?

  • Professor Marian Diamond's Lectures are excellent, they are very helpful! I like her way of telling "speak anatomy". Thank you Mam!!

  • She teaches well... but here handwriting is ... a little hard to read..

  • she has some beautiful scarves lady got brains and class!!! Thanks for posting these lectures are realy helpful.

  • @bonitaestar12

Yes it does...maybe because I havent seen or been instructed by chlak board os so long, its kind of nostalgic... Whatever the reason she is GOOD!

  • great..but where's the rest ??

  • yes i need the rest please .

  • look in the next lecture, lecture 37

  • It's the next lecture in the playlist.

  • Very very very nice lectures with great fantastic effort.very clever teacher and i like very much these lectures.thank u very much for making them available on youtube.thanks alot

  • do you think this one's better than cambell's lecture on the endocrine?

  • In a way yeah, because she completes the endocrine system where Cambell leaves you on the adrenal cortex. Now if cambell completed his lecture then his would be better. But for now Marian Diamond is Gold!

  • no...campbell is better

  • 27:47 is about where she starts with the endocrine system

I find the sound of her writing on the chalkboard to be very soothing for some reason. Anyone else?

  • yea me too

  • @taodepooh Omg yes! Try concentraing on it and you'd get a shiver (the good kind)

  • @taodepooh thanks for letting me know where she start on the Endocrine system

  • @TheAgelessBeautee no problem! I spent a lot of time watching these videos. heck, even as a senior nursing student I go bact to them. Wonderful lectures!!

  • @taodepooh Yes. Hearing her say the words and then watching her write them helps me to process and helps get the information into my long-term memory. Also, watching her draw organs, etc. helps me to visualize them later on much more so than looking at a pre-drawn organ. Try writing down the information you are trying to remember as you study. Think about the word, the spelling and the letter formation as you write. This is the most helpful way for me to study.

  • @taodepooh Thanks for the time marker...

  • this is so much better than my uni. i love the fact that she individually writes each concept on the board. all my lecturers do is point out info on slides.

i learn so much better this way.

    keep up the posts! thanx

  • I go to USC and I am learning about the endocrine system. I am sad to say that I prefer this professor's way of teaching.

  • what?! i prefer powerpoint slides and pictures

  • That's why it is Berkeley. What an amazing professor! What an amazing lecture!

  • half way? No it's not AVP (ADH) is a hormone

  • this is pretty good

  • Almost through series.

    It's been great.

    D.G.

  • She is awesome! Makes human anatomy seem so easy to understand. Thanks for uploading this!

  • overall, great video. Very informative.

  • I would believe that based on the inches as indicated by the male size of the urethra in contrast to the female urethra, has a great deal to do with the issue of female urination that is much more frequent, than that of males. The more inches the bladder has, the better hold it has since there is room. otherwise, I would say that the answer to that question is idiopathic based on the information.

  • endocrine system is half way through
