Kind of ironic that the Japanese version is more jazz-pop and the American version is the more straight up martial style. Usually it's the other way around. We Americans LOVE our hipness!
I grew up with this series in the US, circa 1967. We of course had the atrociously dubbed "Amazing Three", which was palatable because of the basic plots and characters.
I even have some original comics from 1965, plus 1970's reprints.
The opening to the American version was completely different.
I saw this opening once in 1976 on local TV as a promo. Shortly afterwords the series disappeared from American airwaves forever.
確かに漫画のラストシーンはパラドックス的などんでん返しがあり、最初からまた読み直したくなるものでしたね。キャラクターの魅力も秀逸でした。

あれほど意外なストーリーは出会ったことがなかった。ＳＦ小説でも表現できないものです。
手塚先生の発想のすばらしさに感動を覚えました。

トシーンはマンガ史上に残る一コマでしょう。あんな余韻の残るしゃれた終わり方をするとはさすが手塚先覚えがないので、TVは見てないようです。貸し本歌に覚えがないので、TVは見てないようです。貸し本屋で漫画を借りて読んだのを覚えてます。一泊二日で30円でした。高いですね、今なら200円くらいになるんでしょうか。落ちを鮮明に覚えてます、今でも。屋で漫画を借りて読んだのを原作のラストシーンはマンガ史上に残る一コマでしょう。あんな余韻の残るしゃれた終わり方をするとはさすが手塚先生。ボッコ少佐の声は白石冬美さんですな。タイヤみたいな乗り物が好きでした。
