Awesome song and video our little boy daniel has open heart surgery at 7 weeks for arterial switch and a VSD. He is two in a couple of weeks and is so happy smiley and healthy this video made me laugh and cry and the same time so inspiring for those facing surgery to show that there is light at the end of the tunnel. Thanks and don't ever stop sharing your talent.

My sweet little girl could have been in that video. At five months she had surgery for arterial septal defect and partial anonymous pulmonary vein return and she did wonderful. When she was three she had to have surgery again for the PAPVR because it came back. She is nearly five now and every time I look at her I am reminded of the miracle she is. Thank you for capturing this miracle so well in song.

I have two nieces who are alive today because of Vanderbilt's NICU. One was born in 1981 2 months early. She's perfect today and a loving wife and the mother of a beautiful 2 year old.

My other niece was born at 5 1/2 mos gestation in 2005. She was expected to have many problems and a difficult life...if she made it. She was transferred to Vandy and will celebrate her 4th birthday Saturday as a healthy, vibrant, intelligent active little girl. This is surely a place of miracles!

This is such a wonderful video. I am the mom of an almost 7 year old boy with tricuspid atresia. He has had all of his surgeries done at Vanderbilt. The cardiologist dancing at the end with the guitar is his doctor. This brings back so many memories. It is so great to see these kids older and happy. Thanks so much Mark!

I have sent this video to Oprah, Regis and Kelly and to The Doctors tv show. I have asked them all to do a show on Feb 14 honoring all of our "heart kids" and I asked that they invite Mark on to do his song. I think we should all send them letters. one day they will listen and do a show on the number one birth defect, CHD's. Hopefully they will honor A day for Hearts, Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Day/Week. our kids deserve to have their stories told, to show the world how strong they are.

I love this! Mark, thank you for doing such a great job. My daughter had tet repair at 10 weeks old -- she's now 5 1/2! You'd never know it now. My husband had the same thing and had surgery when he was 7 years old and now he's 44!!!! I am always amazed at the miracles all of these heart babies are. I wish you continued health and success! I loved it! My son Michael was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome in 2002. And was diagnosed with ALL Leukemia in 2003. He is now 6 and lives life to the fullest! He is a fighter just like all the children seen in your video! What a wonderful thing you have put together!! How Beautiful! :)

What a WONDERFUL video! My daughter, Erin had open heart surgery to repair her VSD and ASD's at a month old...she'll be 2 in January! She has an appreciation for life that I wish I had. I know one day she will accomplish great things. Who knows, she could become a cardiologist, nurse or surgeon and be as wonderful as many of those who helped us out on February 21st 2007! LOVE IT!. my mom is showing everyone we know this video. I have CHD aslo... transposition of the great vessels, pulmanary atresia, and a VSD.. i've had 5 heart surgeries. i just wrote a 11 page paper on how my heart problem has affected my family and it had me in a funk for a couple of weeks.. this definitely lifted my spirits and reminds me how lucky I am. you did an excellent job :) and i'm glad you are healthy!
