  • It sounds so strange when she says her name .. probably because i'm italian

  • if blair´s character was inspired by olivia...i REAALLY hope nobody gets inspired by Kim K. to make a character out of her (since she has/had a reality as well)....at least olivia is pretty and classy...no offense to kim´s fans out there pls this is not agains you.im just saying..

  • Blair Waldorf was not inspired by Olivia Palmero. She was created by Cecily von Zeigesar, the author of the Gossip Girl novels.

  • Olivia was well known as a socialite as a child/teen here in NYC.

Blair Waldorf IS inspired by Olivia just dramatized to the extreme.

    Her family is well known.

The City did not make Olivia - She ultimately made herself recognized in NYC.

  • She's gorgeous and her style is amazing but she looks stupid.

  • I dont get why everyone hates her? Is she really that bitchy?

  • @Amazashizzle jealousy.obviously.

  • Comment removed

  • @CindyCML because shes perfect.

  • she s perfect woman

  • @keiravanda If u d have money as much as she ! Even man can b perfect woman lol

    Fansy clothes,shoes,perfect hair,make-up ,stylists,special people care of ur bosy ,trenerrs,,,,I d b perfect toO!

  • @SUKAEBANAIA actually not really.Elegance is not all about the clothes and the physical beauty. Its a lifestyle. She exudes confidence and inner beauty.

  • She is dumb..she answers the same questions in every interview, yet she can barely string a sentence together.

  • the blazer ..eh..too big

  • the blazer are too large for u babe..

  • @anngra21 it isnt, the padded shoulders add volume but they add just a special kick to the convencional blazer.

  • $175 is the minimum price? are you kidding me? although i do love the necklaces! but still! $175!!!!!

  • @chinkyjew02 yes,its a bargain. Its a designer piece, you have to consider that, plus its a piece that you can have for a lot of years,it will add character to your style and it will upgrade your image, its a great investment.

  • she's not that confident is she? i think she likes to hide behind the fame and the money to make people think she's confident but when she talks there is uncertainty in her words, like she's unsure abotu what she's saying.

  • @pepelecutie So what if she's not 100% confident, are you!?

  • @xPiecesOfMe im not 100% confident bt i don't pretend like im the queen of the worl when really i feel like shit.

  • @pepelecutie She doesn't act like she's the queen of the world.. And why do you say she feels like shit? I dont think you know her in real life so thats just a really stupid thing to say. I must admit she acts like shes confident but thats a good thing.

  • @xPiecesOfMe my mum always says cut your coat according to your size. If you work in an industry like fashion and you have false confidence, and you are set a task that requires boldness and confidence and your not able to do it then your setting yourself up for a fall. IF you actually watched the city you would see that when Olivia has been set certain tasks she has not been able to perform due to lack of self belief. All im saying is actions speak louder than words.

  • @pepelecutie olivia and erin both aren't very profesional at elle magazine + the city isnt all real, just like lauren conrad said once about the hills.. i'm sure olivia isnt that bitchy in real life and people shouldn't judge her just based on a 'reality' show that isn't all reality. but you're right about the fact that in the show she wasnt very profesional.

  • @xPiecesOfMe its a scripted show...an entertainment show...there has to be some drama and mtv choose Olivia to be "the bitch" of the show because shes hated because shes a socialite, rich, gorgeous, she has everything, shes the perfect candidate to be portrayed as the girl everyone loves to hate.

  • @SuperThedefender Indeed! ur right

  • @pepelecutie SORRY BUT YOU WILL FAIL WHILE YOU LEARN SOMETHING.EVERYWHERE.

  • @pepelecutie i dont pretend either, but i dont feel like crap too,i just move on!

  • @pepelecutie oh my God,shes a human,shes not perfect...what the fuck..

  • haha those beads are like probably $3 from india.. although there was labour involved, its still not affordable "in this economy" to purchase a $175 necklace.

  • @radioromance the price point is affordable.its a designer piece and its an accessorie that can upgrade your entire wardrobe and its a statement itself.Although times are a little tuff, people still invest in designer clothing and accessories.

  • she did this oil of olaz commercial in the early nineteez - she was extremely fat back than. eeez

  • @togusa5000 sorry,but shes always been healthy.

  • Not to sound like a poor thinker but, $175???? Seriously? For beads?? I would rather buy golf clubs on ebay.

  • @SeoulSarah Considering that it is a world renouned designer piece the price is actually quite amusing.its an unique accessory and it will upgrade an entire outfit.

  • affordable? 175 dollars? push over palermo!

  • @SummerRose15 it is affordable since its a world renouned designer piece.

  • @SuperThedefender I agree that the pieces are really affordable.

  • love Olivia Palermo! her style is amazing

  • you are so right mini0001.Of course jealousy is a huge problem for most of the people and i understand why,she has, money, beauty, travels the world, inteligence and social relevance. For most people she has an atittude, for me she is just confident and if i was a boss i would want to hire someone who is confident, not a loser.

  • @SuperThedefender i saw all your comments, i didnt read all of them. but why defend her up to a point where you're offending everyone else? you do know, people have different opinions. how do you explain they like people while disliking others? just because they dont like palermo doesn't mean they're jealous. olivia is infact immature but puts on a mature front because she was raised to act that way. but come on, look through the surface please.

  • @roxyroxy34 i didnt make the offensive coments in the first place and i dont dislike the authors of the coments,i dont even know them,i just think that the statement that you are making, saying that she is immature,is a really ignorant statement because you dont know her,you know a character that is shown during 10 or less of weeks, maybe months, from a "reality" show that needs ratings and edits everysingle thing.

  • @SuperThedefender Everyone has their own opinion. I really admire effortless chic and parisian class and natural beauty so to me olivia's style is a little too commercial. But I get that some people love the fact that she's put together and always dressed up for any occasion. I just don't think that she's that much of a fashion avant-gardiste. She's good looking so anything looks ok on her but i kind of think she always does something wrong with her outfits...

  • @conmisombra i respect your opinion about her style,of course its not gonna be appealing to everyone because everyone has different taste. Her style changes a bit,its glamour and laidback too, depending on the ocasion, she even wears plaid shirts, but yes its more towards the put together because thats just her style. She lives in New York and she tries to dress right for the places and ocasions, everyone does that, thats why you dress up for a marriage, for example.

  • @conmisombra She never intended to be a fashion avant-gardiste too...she is a fashion lover and admirer, very diffrent.About her always doing something wrong with her outfits that is very relative.I respect your opinion. In my opinion i love that she brings something bold to her polished style,it breaks what could be a boring look and says something about her creative and original personality.

  • @roxyroxy34 to clear any misunderstanding,i said the coments were shallow and unfunded,i was not refering to anyone in particular.

  • @SuperThedefender She does have an attitude but she's probably nice at heart i think she just hides her real self behind arrogance because it's easier that way.. Let's hope she learns how to be natural and cool someday. Real elegance isn't as put together as that, real class is a natural allure for example charlotte gainsbourg or clemence poesy ... not really olivia palermo

  • @conmisombra Well, when you work at a place where people are dying to see you fail, you pretty much don´t wanna have a lot of fun or have any kind of relationship with them...yet she is polite and doesn´t loose it like Erin, who doesnt have control over her emotions and is always making ironic coments that make her look frustrated.Very unprofessional.Once again, you´v only seen her working and in interviews, shes pretty difrent hanging out.I dont think she cares what real class is,neither do i.

  • Olivia is so beautiful, poised and stylish. I don't know why people have a problem with a girl that is self-assured and highly involved the fashion world. She talks about her connections with designers and influential people because she does have them, and for good reason. People seem to mistake elegance and refinement with snobbery. Olivia isn't some bimbo simpleton who is overly-friendly and eager to please and she knows what she wants and isn't afraid to go for it.

  • Olivia doesnt care if you are from royalty or not, trust me.She just surrounds herself with people that are mature and dont fool around or just complain about everything and dont get nothing done. You all say she was a bitch when she took credit at whitneys pull at diane?it was a team job and olivia did pull the jacket, cant you even see that that part was edited?and Olivia offered her help to find some places for whitney and she just didnt care about her at all....

  • @SuperThedefender Oh come on this girl is the image of immature. In the fashion industry she's known as the girl who works her way in by spending her time at parties and hanging out with people who can help her with her social agenda, real socialites think she's a joke .Don't say that she's mature and doesn't want to be surrounded by the drama when she is on a reality show. I also think that whitney is immature but to be honest i don't think that anyone on this show is grown up.

  • @conmisombra maybe i should clear some wrong ideas that you are exposing here."socializing" is not a job so to say that shes "working" her way in the fashion industry through that, when working in fashion needs way more than contacts is ridiculous. She has an interest in fashion and obviously anyone who is interested in fashion would grab any oportunity to get close to the most talented designers.

  • @SuperThedefender I don't think that a reality show is the best way to be a success in the movie industry. All i'm saying is that she doesn't seem really natural to me to be a real fashion icon or actress.. She cares too much about what society wants to see she's not a free spirit. This reality show is just relaxing i have to admit but i don't think that any of the girls are gonna stay famous very long after it's done. Olivia will probably stay an up and coming starlet at front rows

  • @conmisombra a reality show may not be the best way to be a success in the movie industry...or it may be,if you´re a great actress and apparently Olivias doing very well being the girl everyone loves to hate. You only see Olivia at her work...thank God shes not lazy and relaxed at her job, that atitude is so not appropriate at a workplace.Olivia colaborated with Roberta Freymann, styled some looks for a lot of runway shows actually, you might wanna get your facts straight.

  • @SuperThedefender Just like you i'm basing my opinions on what i can see and I don't really take seriously that she loves acting like the mean girl at her job , not very professional either. I'm not saying that she doesn't do anything, and i 'm not defending erin i also think she acts unprofessional as you said. if she's as nice and innocent as you say, why does olivia gives that much a bad impression to a lot of people while there are other socialites that the public loves.

  • @conmisombra she never said she loved being the bad girl and im pretty sure she doesnt because its polar opposite of what she is in reality, but she has to do the job one more year.Like i said previously, the editing makes her look like a bad girl...do you really think she said something like "bullshit conversation" and "i dont give a fuck about what Erins opinion is"?i mean, come on,first of all she is a lady, she has impeccable manners and second she knows shes being recorded.

  • @SuperThedefender well when she said it it was her voice so i do think it's edited but not to the point where they make them say stuff they don't actually say.. She 's not a lady , she is not aristocracy . And i'm just saying i don't think they would edit her face to add the bitchy expressions on it . She is arrogant, maybe she's not like that with her family but you can't say that she appears to be the most down to earth person...

  • @conmisombra you see her at her job,she has to look professional and serious and if she didnt have the snakes around her trying to bring her down shed probably be way more at ease. She didnt say F-U-C-K or S-H-I-T.She didnt.

  • @SuperThedefender She is pretentious, that 's just the way she is in her manners, they're not naturally elegant. She's just trying too hard to be a socialite. When she did say that the downtown hipsters are such a different crowd and she obviously doesn't like being mixed up with these people. So my point is she cares too much about the image she wants to give of herself, instead of being down to earth and simply elegant.

  • @conmisombra im not a naturally elegant person either, but i want to be and i want to be a better person overall,in order to do that i have to learn and push myself everyday to be more mature and to face the problems in a better way,its so easy to just say everything you think and that unfortuntly is not a good think.I dont want to be with those people either,i mean look at what Jay would say and look how he behaved...sorry but im out.

  • @SuperThedefender Jay just sang his song basically. And oh my god he didn't wear a tie but didn't olivia notice that his band was a hipster band in the first place? And you should know that not wearing a black tie to a classy event isnt a crime and a lot of men do it . maybe if she had been smarter she would have done her little snobish drama before inviting him to play his beach/raggae style songs at a luxury hotel and she should have known that it wouldn't be appropriate.

  • @conmisombra I think that she expected them to wear a little bit more appropriate for the place where they were going to give the show and it was a charity show,it wasnt a show for Olivia, they should have thought about that rather than singing to make a favor for Olivia, its a favor to the children in need.I dont think she made a drama out of it,she just said what she thought and she didnt disrespect anyone or lost control of herself.

  • @conmisombra last but not least, obviously you wouldnt talk in an interview like you talk to your close friends, two completly difrent things.

  • @SuperThedefender She's not charismatic. Charisma is a natural way of being that makes you different from others in the way your persona is expressed. That's offetly the problem with people who are too polished: she should just be natural and herself and still manage to be professional. That's what a lot of celebrities do and i applaude them for it.

  • @conmisombra i like her way of talking about the collection,it gives me the feeling that the pieces are important and that she takes the designers job with admiration and respect.I think there are situations to be more playfull and bubbly and this is not the right situation to react that way.

  • a jewelled bib...

is it because you still can't control you drool?

pathetic fame whore who has got no substance whatsoever

  • @nata11 LOL jewelled bib well said

  • @nata11 if youre gonna make a coment at least make it relevant, that is just pointless.

  • @SuperThedefender I don't think that if people wanted to be jealous they would be jealous of her. She's not a real socialite at all she begged high society to welcome her in their circle because showing her social status is her only ambition in life. Her father is just a banker come on she's not charlotte casiraghi or margherita missoni and even them wouldn't appear on a reality show almost begging everyone to be jealous of them like she does and that shows how little class she actually has

  • @conmisombra This wannabe socialite thing is just ridiculous.I know many girls who go to all the parties to meet people and have their picture taken because its fun.Olivia doesnt take things that serious.Maybe her inner circle of friends doesnt do what you do wich is judge her by what her father is or what shes accomplished.I would want my friends to like me for who i am period.

  • @conmisombra About her social agenda all i have to say is that everyone has one,or should have because its an amazing to share your life with people who have a lot of the same interests as you have, you have.Olivia entered the city because she is interested in acting some day, being in this show is a step into that kind of art.I think Erin is grown up and she is capable of handling a lot of diferent problems but doesnt have total control over her emotions in her job and that is not professional.

  • I think she's not a "mean" person but she definitely has a huge problem with her ego. She takes everything for granted and no one should be like that cause no matter how "noble" or rich you are you have to be down to earth and she's not like that at all. I'm pretty sure that her character on the city is the real her and I have a friend who's met her a couple of times at fashion shows -i mean she doesn't know her very well- but apparently she does have the same attitude off camera.

  • Are you kidding, your friend met her at a fashion show...thats ridiculous.I work with people for 4 years,8 hours a day and they dont know me,they know me as a worker, not as a person so im sorry but your friend clearly thinks he knows what he doesnt.

  • @conmisombra Soooo true, agree with everything you said!

  • @bodykiss thank you!

  • @conmisombra Does she have a problem speaking?

Her jaw, mouth whatever (lol) seems very restricted

  • @JaJaCarol haha so true! I think she's not at ease ;)

  • @conmisombra the media makes her become that way. Though i have to say, her style is impeccable and her make up and hair as well.

  • @conmisombra The City has a script, it isn't real.

  • @conmisombra Her father is a real estate developer. Not a banker.

  • i love this girls style, but seriously her attitude makes her the ugliest person ever! and i have news for her...she's NOT blair waldorf from gossip girl, no matter how hard she tries!! lol

  • Dont even start me on that Blair waldorf thing, its clearly a ridiculous association.

  • @merdy111 newsflash honey: blair wardolf's character is said to be inspired by Olivia, not the other way around lol.

  • @ouisexycherrie Just one teeny difference: Olivia lives or has lived in Brooklyn, a place Blair would never consider moving to. :p

  • @mallikahd theyre totally difrent...

  • @SuperThedefender So you've met Olivia Palermo then...?

  • @mallikahd i had the oportunity to chat with her brfly and we have mutual friends, everone likes her so the negativity around her is created by the press and its sad that people actually believe in everything they read.

  • @SuperThedefender Cool that you know her! :) My comment about Brooklyn and Blair and Olivia wasn't meant in a negative way.. People say they're alike and so I merely pointed out a big difference between them. I actually DO like Olivia. I understand that TV is TV but I love her style and from other videos and stuff I've seen she seems like a nice enough person. I never thought she was a mean bitch (the way she was portrayed on The City).

  • @mallikahd Its fine.Shes very sweet and laidback, shes difrent from how she appears in interviews and stuff,i guess she just gets nervous, but shes pretty much a normal girl.

  • @ouisexycherrie - How can Blair's character be inspired by Olivia when the books came out before Olivia was known?

  • @rarecharisma @lostintalent Yes of course it's BASED on the book series by Cecily V Zeigesar but it in the series her LOOKS & STYLE are INSPIRED by Olivia.

  • @ouisexycherrie Hahaa! Don't be silly! Blair wasn't inspired by Olivia!

Blair is a frictional character created by Cecily V Zeigesar! Author of the gossip girl novel (published in 2002)

Olivia only became famous in 2008! I don't see how she could have inspired the Blair character!

  • @lostintalent She became like famous in the USA in 2008, but she was already known in the socialites' "world"!

  • @DanilloPaggi We'll just have to agree to disagree! Or ask the author herself one day.

But if you can get me a list of who all the FRICTIONAL characters from Gossip Girl were based on, may help to convince me?.

Besides was Cecily in that socialite group?

  • Does anyone know her? Because she doesn't look like a bitch, but acts like a bitch. Unlike Kristin on The Hills, who looks like a bitch and is a bitch.

  • Still with Elle Magazine.

So it seems Erin couldn't get rid of her.

    GO OLIVIA GO.

  • Olivia <3 i have a huge crush on her <3

  • Love the collection!

  • I love Olivia's style!!! the necklaces are gorgeous!:)
