In 1994, the Quebec Nordiques made a huge mistake to trade Sundin to the Maple leafs for Wendel Clark.Sundin became a superstar in Toronto, while Clark was traded to the Islanders in the fall of 1995. Clark then joined Sundin as a Maple Leaf when he was traded again in March 1996.This one of the worst trades in hockey history.

I remember watching Mats score against St. Louis in OT in the '96 playoffs, first game I ever saw. he was the Leafs' best player for 13 straight years, and yet somehow he still doesn't get the recognition he deserves... because he's Swedish and not Canadian and too many people let people like Don Cherry and Pierre McGuire think for them instead of making their own opinions.

@FevrGuy I believe he is referring to Joe Nieuwendyk. Sundin and Nieuwendyk were the two carrying their teams in this game but Mats' team won.
