there are two faces in the figure the blue head is unprotected (robot mode) and the one optibotimus said wasnt the head is the protected head (jet and sat mode) thats the head u see in the movie i have the figure and i checked pictures and i looked in the movie

I have the repaint of this figure that came with the Bumblebee repaint. I think it's called Infiltration Soundwave. It's pretty much red and blue, with some yellow on the chest and orange on the kneepads.

Honestly. I got him at retail price and I'm still disappointed. Found the infiltrator version with better colors and I find that one to be at least decent. In the end, Ravage is my favorite Deluxe Decepticon from the movie line.

@JonathanRPeluso Yup...He totally said Megatron wasn't going to be in the ROTF movie. He also has said that Mudflap and Skids aren't in DOTM. But we've seen their car modes on set...we also have toys coming from them. So i don't believe anything until i see it in the movie haha. I hadn't heard anything aabout Omega Supreme. I did hear the rumor the guns combine to form the "arc"...but again...all rumors till i see otherwise

Good review. I recently picked up this figure from Wal-Mart since they were clearancing off most of their Transformer figures and I couldn't turn down my favorite decepticon :P You didn't mention it, but I'm sure you've found it, there's a piece that folds up from his chest which covers his face in jet/satellite mode, but mostly for satellite mode since, as you said, the he balances on it if you set him down in jet mode.

I'm kind of excited to see how they do Shockwave in T3..hopefully his alt-mode isn't a tank..I just have this sneaking suspicion that's what it's going to be. Apparently from what I've heard, Soundwave is going to have a bigger part in T3, which does excite me a bit. He was very under-used in Revenge but, I did feel he served his purpose well. He's supposed to be the communications officer and..well he did that job pretty well. And if it wasn't for him, Megatron wouldn't be alive again either.

nothing locks in because he has a sattelite mode so the l/r panels point outward and the front panel points up or down. the arms have the adapters or the claws onhis elbows so he can adapt to any sattelite. its in the movie and the game

You totally mistransformed him. At 4.06, you flip his silver head up. That gives clearance to flip the lower satellite panel all the way. Then, you turn his upper torso down, so the fake head touches the lower satellite panel. You would have to flip his real head down. It looks much better that way.

and there is a way to hide soundwaves head when hes in satelite/jet mode

if u look carefully, theres a blue flap on his chest and under his neck

RotF Soundwave is much like Scorponok from the first movie- no real alt mode, and so Hasbro just made up one so we could get a toy of some kind

Considering how well RotF Leader OP was changed from the first one, I think I can easily wait for movie-3 Soundwave.

well, one reason why his transformations look like crap is probably because he didn't scan any vehicles to look like a jet or a satellite. He just transforms into something that resembles them. Megatron never scanned any vehicles either or the Fallen.
