He holds his position for a few seconds, then breaks up field to block the LB at the 2nd level. Peyton says "GD Donald" because he didn't run his route and Peyton had nothing to do with the ball. He couldn't even throw it away because there would have been an ineligible receiver downfield penalty.

That's why the LT let the DE go upfield off his left shoulder and why the LG started to wonder upfield after holding his spot for two seconds. That's also why Peyton didn't step up in the pocket. The Colts run this play all the time in the red zone, which is why Colts fans can easily recognize where the breakdown occurred. In fact, they just ran this same play this week to Donald Brown but he knew what he was doing.

This is strictly a pass play. The X receiver runs a 5-yard drag, while the Y receiver run what looks to be a smash route. This forces the strong-side safety to shade toward the middle of the field, which leaves the field-side flat open. The Z receiver runs a "go route," which prevents the defense from rolling coverage and keeps the boundary-side safety honest. Don has a B-gap responsibility, meaning if no rusher comes he releases to the flat.
