I think the fender flares are gives a better clean finish look to the trucks especially the new SUV's, without the flares they will like monster trucks NOT that there's anything wrong with monster trucks.
@Aliensurfer80 I agree although I also really like them without them like the american way. However Icelandic trucks aren´t raised as much as they do elsewhere because we like to keep our center of gravity as low as possible. That means sometimes cutting away some bodywork. Would look even more stupid with cut up fenders and yes, sometimes rear doors
And remember that off road driving in Iceland is illegal, but you need to have these trucks to drive some of the mountain "fjel" roads - even in the summer!
I went there this summer on a motorbike - amazing nature !
@kierbye But off road and off road is not the same here in Iceland. You can drive offroad as long as it´s on snow and won´t damage the ground underneath. And glaciers are just a big playground for offroading
I really appreciate the Quality of those Rigs in Iceland, Clean and functional..not like the US where most of the rides are Beaters. Well at least in Arizona where im at. I like that most the Icelandic Vehicles have 40 inch tires or bigger haha Thanks for posting this** -1969 Chevy Blazer K5 40" Ground Hawgs

@Hrolfurinn No, you can use any tires you want except for tractor tires. Im not exactly sure but the vehicle can't be over 13 feet tall.

nice trucks but why is it that every truck has gay fender flares
KAWASAKY95 1 year ago
@KAWASAKY95 Sadly it´s the law in Iceland that the tires must not stick out from under the bodywork. Hence fender flares
