@CoolWolfGal They are in Japanese. The only way to understand really is trial and error and to watch video reviews or ask possibly someone who is familiar with the language. They will never make an English version, sadly.

How do you get the rainbow happy item?? I know you have to use the watering can, but i kept using it on a clear day with puffy clouds but nothing happened. I noticed that you can get 2 different watering cans. I only got the big grey one, perhaps i need the little purple one??? How do you get that one? :|

There is no on or off button. The screen dims by itself as a battery saving mode.

Thankyou that was really helpful, Im getting one tomorrow and I didn't have a clue about the happy bar and thought it just works as normal, How heavy is the Tamagotchi Color and when you take the batteries out and put them back in again do you get a new tamagotchi and have to start over??

It is not an extremely heavy tamagotchi by any means. I would say it is bulky. I think it is quite light for how it appears. When you take the batteries out and put them it the first thing that pops up is a menu. The first set of characters is download. The second beneath the first is reset. Hope that helps =)

I recommend playing through the menus as much as possible to familiarize yourself with it. You should be able to work this tamagotchi even without speaking a word of Japanese. The only thing that you won't be able to do is to read what the tama characters are saying in the park.

I can also lead you to the right area to get other instructions you need.
