Its simply because forgiveness and sanctification are different two different things though one follows the other. In the past, the Israelites had to make a guilt offering to cleanse themselves. In this case, Jesus became our guilt offering on our behalf, he was the lamb that was sacrificed. Before Jesus died, forgiveness does not mean sanctification but after he died, in his mercy, sanctification came along with forgiveness because of repentance.

Jesus spoke in the temple that King Solomon dedicated to pagan gods chuin,molech,amon and ishtar as his fathers temple! So why are we not told these facts by the catholic church if there the ones in charge of the Bible! @Monacyte actally christian believe that in old talestman like it is said for god to forgive them human used to sacrifise bull, goat etc still sin used to come as these animal sacrifice only bring them temprory relief from sin for permanent relief from sin jesus has to sacrifice himself instead to sacrifycing bull goat etc .... and we are sinners because of adam and eve sinned ..... jesus even resucrreted/coming out of death ... again he has beaten death which was brought by adam's sin

Jesus died for our sins. We're all sinners and we deserved punishment, but Jesus took the rap for us as an innocent and perfect man. He died and shed His blood for us so we can once again be reunited with God.
Being sinners(disobeying God etc), we deserved death and hell. But Lord Jesus took the rap for us, so we do not have to face this punishment if we repent.

@armybasin Sorry to hear that your god died. Didn't think a god could die, aren't they supposed to be immortal? Reading the bible it seems the only sacrifice your god did was a very bad morning and early afternoon, only to pop right back up a couple days later to go rule the universe.

@armybasin Jesus died because of our (society) sins (corruption, immorality) not for our sins. We are individually accountable for our actions and we are responsible for the consequences . The crucifixion of Jesus is not in exchange for sin nor a free pass into "heaven".

@kamaaladiin because he is a just God. If sins can just be simply erased, why would there be heaven and hell? If you simply believe, no matter how little the signs he gave are, you would believe with all your heart. I choose to believe him. Bless tat he will melt your heart and you would have a better understanding of his love for you.

Its simply because forgiveness and sanctification are different two different things though one follows the other. In the past, the Israelites had to make a guilt offering to cleanse themselves. In this case, Jesus became our guilt offering on our behalf, he was the lamb that was sacrificed. Before Jesus died, forgiveness does not mean sanctification but after he died, in his mercy, sanctification came along with forgiveness because of repentance.

@mage2006 When I was in army, I was made a RP. Duty on weekends and holiday. Can't attend church. Worst still my cell (was from previous church, now in FCBC), don't even call when cell meeting change day. Thought God left me. But now I look back, I thk God for that session. I m a leader now.
If u tink u'r being tested more than others tha't's becoz God has a much bigger plan for u. Remember the commando get the worst and longgest training. So u'r God's special forces. Hang in there!
