  • wow nice car

  • 6 or 12 volt?

  • @bamaslamma1003 6 volt - positive earth

  • Guess what. They had "minus 8" temperatures way back in 1955, too. The car was designed to start in those conditions.

  • @tomperanteau Hi - Yes I am certainly aware of what cold weather in North America is like as I grew up in in Calgary and was there in the terrible winter of 47. I remember my dad starting cars and driving in deep snow in Canadian prairie. BUT we are talking about starting up 60 year old car in English winter conditions which have more moist air that causes difficulties for old tech electrical and starting componants. These old cars do well even to cope with modern road conditions :)

  • @hudsoninbury

    It's a Mopar, baby ! :o)

  • @hudsoninbury Sir, your car beautiful, way away more beauty than other new cars this days))))

  • Sorry, how many gallons of gasoline this lady eats per 100 miles / kilometers?

And what engine she has, thank you)

  • @hudsoninbury you sound young -- never would have imagined you were around in '47...

  • Minus 8 C.? It shouldn't be a problem. Now, try starting it minus 8F. :)

  • @starladear002 Yes you are right ... the coldest we get here in the UK is around -10C so by the standards of some places like the USA, we are living in almost balmy conditions :)

  • @hudsoninbury I love your car!

  • @itsmegp46 Thank you for your comment...I just got back from a long sunny spring day drive in it and read your comment... I agree, it is a lovely car to drive, especially since I fitted wide white wall RADIALS..they really improve the handling, especially in modern traffic conditions :)

  • Very nice Plymouth. I love your collection of old Mopar. Very cool.

  • the motor's surprisingly quiet
