No, dorks who say its not happy, it's smiling. I used to have a Yorkie who smiled and she would do the same thing and her tail was wagging like crazy. Trying to growl. Yeah, right.

You can't really teach it. If you notice the dog doing it, you can try to train them to associate a word with it and then it will happen more. My second Yorkie was a little sweetheart too, but he never smiled.

A REAL dog owner isn't so idiotic as to call other breeds "rats" or suggest that they be put asleep for no reason. A real dog owner doesn't raise dogs to attack or to be hostile towards others (probably poorly socialized). Maybe you should have your dogs taken away.

I know a few Yorkies that do this. Mine does it when she's thrilled to see us (when we just get home). It's accompanied by jumping and tail wagging. Definitely not a hostile act.

You're an idiot. My yorkie does this also. It's starts off as a sign of submissiveness and then they start doing for all the attention. Do your research. My info came from a professional trainer and a vet who both thought it was adorable.

@ailenpangwin try to look closely at your yorkie dog when you're playing with it. Take its favorite toy/ball and raise it high where it will barely be able to grab it and then tease it. Thats how i get mine to smile
