@SEVAGARM .. thats true but sinatras and dalidas version got a lot more feeling! thats the matter why they are more succesfull with the song as cheer with the original rock version ... cheers feelings are showing here ass in a tanga on stage ^^ ...
@TurboQuattro46 No wrong, Cher's got more successful at the time, in 1966, Because of that, they do covered The Bang Bang song, After Cher's successful, if you want read Wikipedia, And Cher have lots of version of Bang Bang song not only rock, Nancy's become famous after because used in the film Kill Bill,
And CHER do what she want to do on the stage, it's nobody's business,
@SEVAGARM first, cher is more successful in all time then nancy and dalida, not only at that time.dalida was only succesfull in italy.nancy for me is a verry verry good artist (and look a lot better then cher).and wrong! chers song, bang bang, became succesfull after "nancys" presentation in kill bill! yes bro! she do not only what she want on stage she do what all bitches like here do to became famous and rich! showing her ass and tits to the public.but hey no prob for me bro ^^ i like here ass .
@TurboQuattro46 Cher got more successful at 1966 the Bang Bang song reached number three (3) in the UK Singles chart and number two (2) on the Billboard Hot 1OO at the time 60's. But Nancy's was Never never on the Top Chart, Only because recently used in the film Kill Bill thats all. And Nancy she's not a star like Cher she's known because of her father Frank Sinatra And of corse as usually always Cher is the winner all times with her talent .
@lumi3re911 If you want to, I believe in you, tell me, If you have a capacity to tell me who wrote this song ?? ( And give me the prove ) If you can't to tell me !!, I can't believe you,
And the true always Cher's husband Sonny Bono wrote this song,
As for Dalida's origin and nationality, she is Italian yes, but she is also French by naturalization and she is by birthplace, by passion, by childhood, by teen years and by heart Egyptian, her wish to always speak in Arabic whenever in the region, her singing in Arabic, her visits to her old neighborhood in Cairo show that. She was proud to be Egyptian too and said it many times in interviews in Cairo. It is not a matter of "just" being born there, Egypt was in her heart and soul
@AndreiYudin70 DALIDA was and continues to be one of the most beautiful artists ever to grace the music and cinema stages of the world. She was beautiful physically and in addition everybody saw the beauty inside her soul.
@chezbamboo007 shut up with your shit, fucking english Mi-5-6 shit eater!Dalida was not nice at all.On the contrary she had an unpleasant face and an unpleasant masculin voice.
@AndreiYudin70 Whoever you are you are gay and you are jealous that you are not Dalida. You are a poorly designed human being who borders on being a monkey. Your language and choice of words says that you come from the slums where the low life people live. people like you should be expelled from the internet at once.
@AndreiYudin70 ANDREI, I suggest you go to the ophtalmologist and also HAVE YOUR HEARING CHECKED. DALIDA DID NOT HAVE A MASCULINE VOICE. Where in the hell did you get that ?
DALIDA will be remembered by millions as one of the greatest artists of the 20th century. And you, unlucky you, will be remembered as the neighborhood idiot by a total of 4 people who have been so unlucky to know you.
Teachers said that I've been naughty I must learn to concentrate But the girls they pull my hair and with the boys I can't relate Bang bang bang! Don't you want to Don't you want to be the one Don't you want to hold the gun Bang bang bang! Invassion so succexy so succexy Mixing up some lyrics here... Don't worry... no one is gonna invade anyone else ever .... Now we have women running through all the planet They fly, they are faster, they multitask better than men
To all who ask about Dalida's nationality I say that art does not have borders nor accept this discrimination, but a snap shot from Wikipedia will do:
Yolanda Christina Gigliotti was born in Shubra, Cairo, Egypt. Her family was of Italian origin, from Calabria, Italy, but were living in Egypt, where Dalida’s father, Pietro Gigliotti, was first violinist at the Cairo Opera House. She was crowned Miss Egypt, she moved to Paris the same year (age 20). Sang in French, Italian, German, and Arabic.
@rabiyacoub What's your point? She is still ITALIAN !!
This girl is made up of ITALIAN genes. Not one drop of egyptian blood in her. There's just a piece of paper called ''birth certificate'' that says she was born in Egypt. THAT DOES NOT MAKE HER egyptian. Birthplace is an accident. Her mother could have been in Germany at the time of giving birth and that would NOT have made DALIDA german !!!!
We all thank mother nature for giving us this great artist.
Well my friend, My point is that art has no borders, and the great Dalida " Yes she is Italian " but she is for us all, She sang in many languages and everyone understands her music and songs, Just like Pavaroti, Sarah Brightman, Andrea Bocelli etc. My msg was for those who like discremination to ask them to stop.
What a unique voice. A real diva in a positive sense. My contribution to the world of music is not as impressive. I made a video, all by myself. And it was recorded and filmed completely in my basement. The whole clip, that takes place on a beach, inclusive the beauties and the cool guy. Impossible? Not for me. There´s only one thing left to say. I did it with more passion than talent. But you will see, if you check it out on my channel. Ay, caramba!
I happen to be a full Arian, my father was Arian since 1750 (He was officer of the Wehrmacht), my mom since 1715 (she wanted to marry an ensign who wanted to become a SS-Officer, but HE wasn't Arian since 1715 - what a mess for him...).
But am I a better man therefore? I don't guess so! It only helps to discuss with Nazis: I'm a real Arian, they ain't. That counts ... for them.
Me too. I would like to see DALIDA's life in an opera. It should be written in italian. Her story needs to be told in italian.
DALIDA was so proud of being italian.
I am sure that right now someone is involved in writing a draft of her story for an opera. Yes, we will see that opera in our lifetime. That is a story worth telling. This woman gave so much of herself to her public....It is as if she never stopped working.
This Italian girl accomplished so much in her musical career. She was simple and she was complex ... she was an enigma and that made her more attractive to her public and to the critics and observers of the entertainment industry. Above all, she delighted us all with her beautifiul music. DALIDA always had something new to share with the public. There has not been another artist like her.
@maturelover77 In any case DALIDA is a citizen of the world. She was and is loved, admired, respected and remembered by music lovers from all the countries of this small planet. ... But I still think she is ITALIAN !!
dalida does not sing a song..she BECAMES the song..i am a singer too and the emotion and soul that dalida puts in every song she sings is a great lesson for me
It is difficult for all of us to understand her final act of dispair...but only she knew what she was going thru. As much as I dislike to see the ever staggering statistics on suicide, we have to respect the person´s choice. In a sense they are very brave when they take their own lives. They see death as a permanent solution to their temporary troubles.
We are the ones who are left here with the pain and the hurt wishing we could have helped her.
no they are not Brave in ANY sense of the word.Theyre Scared and Lonely.DONT ROMANTICISE IT.Examine of course But Dont put ANY positive Attriubutes towards this act...PeaceOut
There are many people who solved their problems the way DALIDA did. We never hear about them. We know about DALIDA´s sad death because she was very famous.
Beautiful Song Beautiful Woman. Too bad she killed herself. I dont speak a word of Spanish but i love this song. Had never heard of Dalida before today but i feel for her. May she find peace....
Indeed there is a God. But He is a God of Love. There is no Hell, no pain, no punishment. God forgives all of His sons, especially those who suffered so much in life to commit suicide. Stop believing in Old religions. Jesus is Love.

Everyone deserves to know the truth, DALIDA is a CITIZEN OF THE WORLD. She earned that designation with her endless list of achievements. She just happened to have spent most of her life in FRANCE. The best decision she ever made in her life was to leave Egypt. Smart girl !!!!
@Hemsama1 , my boy , Imperialist Bristish called Fuck off , Capitalist American called fuck up, Aboriginal called fuck fuck , yes it 's still fuck so I call : Fuck you !
Les Amours imaginaires!!!!! i saw it on saturday, and absolutelly love it!!! and this song!!! i fall in love :D this version is much better than the english one...
@montelatici Ya, she was born in Egypt, but she moved to France, and her fame started there. So she is a famous French singer, though she did sing in Egyptian. :)
@TheExquisiteMusic history ...The Romans developed placenta, a sheet of flour topped with cheese and honey and flavored with bay leaves. Modern pizza originated in Italy as the Neapolitan pie with tomato. In 1889, cheese was added. King Ferdinand I (1751–1825) is said to have disguised himself as a commoner and, in clandestine fashion, visited a poor neighborhood in Naples. One story has it that he wanted to sink his teeth into a food that the queen had banned from the royal court—pizza.
@TheExquisiteMusic PIZZA PIE was invented in ITALY and preserved in the frozen land of ALASKA. That's the only reason why we have pizza today. 'Cause it was frozen in ALASKA !!!
I love Dalida but she makes me sad, she lost everyone she loved to suicide.

Dalida killed herself in 1987. She was beautifull, had success, money... but not the most important : love.
Her last word was "forgive me but life is unbearable for me".

Everyone deserves to know the truth, DALIDA is a CITIZEN OF THE WORLD. She earned that designation with her endless list of achievements. She just happened to have spent most of her life in FRANCE. The best decision she ever made in her life was to leave Egypt. Smart girl !!!!

Wasn't she born in Egypt. She is a famous Egyptian singer, I think.
montelatici 10 months ago
@montelatici Ya, she was born in Egypt, but she moved to France, and her fame started there. So she is a famous French singer, though she did sing in Egyptian. :)
jimmysluv321 10 months ago

TheExquisiteMusic 9 months ago
@TheExquisiteMusic OK, OK !!! DALIDA is as Italian as Pizza pie from ALASKA !!!!!! :p
pontedupre007 9 months ago
@TheExquisiteMusic history ...The Romans developed placenta, a sheet of flour topped with cheese and honey and flavored with bay leaves. Modern pizza originated in Italy as the Neapolitan pie with tomato. In 1889, cheese was added. King Ferdinand I (1751–1825) is said to have disguised himself as a commoner and, in clandestine fashion, visited a poor neighborhood in Naples. One story has it that he wanted to sink his teeth into a food that the queen had banned from the royal court—pizza.
pontedupre007 9 months ago
@TheExquisiteMusic PIZZA PIE was invented in ITALY and preserved in the frozen land of ALASKA. That's the only reason why we have pizza today. 'Cause it was frozen in ALASKA !!!
