I have the nice chance to get acces inside the 'artists room' of Hun Huur Tu in a concert to get their sign and give congrats them... And I could say that their reception to me ('nobody') was full of humility, peace, and in bro vibrations that since then my respect is thousand times increased to their persons, art and live being... Sincerly
In this sample? Not at all. It's more straightforward then any singing with lyrics. In this sample he is singing the mountain, low pitch equals higher mountain and high pitch equals lower mountain. From left to right. The mountain is seen as a character or figure, where the beginning and end of the song are the sides of the figure. Listening to this song you can get an experience of what it's like standing in Tuva and looking at the Altai mountains.
Huun Huur Tu are the best throat singers/ musicians in their league. Certainly compared to all of the other throat singing attempts that are posted on youtube (There are some nutters)
what does it mean "kargyraa"...is it meaning "karga iri(crow-style singing)" in turkish or what?...anyway i loved huun huur-tu...what a brutal voices having...
It's an onomatopetic Tuvan word, describing the rumbling sound of the earth or the croaking of a black crow. See Caroline Peggs book "Mongolian Music, Dance, and Oral Narrative" for a reference to that. (It's Karkiraa in Mongolian)
amazing - I've heard this man before (I believe) with Bela Fleck but this was a great demonstration of this very interesting technique. Thanks for sharing
For those who spoke of asses: Dear friends you don't really mean to behave this way, do you?? The better your language is, the better you feel for yourselves.

Kargyraa en beğendiğim stildir. Daha önce de dinlemiştim bir çok örneğini. Enstrüman kullanılmaz genelde.
