By watching other videos and information on the "art war" seems that the goal was somewhat reached: there are reactions to it (not positive, but reactions). It would be nice if Moore now starts a more positive dialogue through art!
I think the people who think that it's OK to make comments about what they think a persons sexuality is should be embarrassed. I can't believe how nasty people are being. If it's all in good fun then while all the awful comments? I think it was clever of Tyler but I was told that it was an assignment for school. So I assume they got to work on it in class. It's the end of the semester there's no time to sleep, let alone retaliate!
I, for one, don't understand why the Moore students had to respond in such a lame way. They couldn't take the horses as the playful invitation that they were and just go with it. They had to correct the letter in the most inane way possible and berate what was, after all, supposed to be a fun and interesting gesture of camaraderie. Way to suck all the fun out of art, angry Moore art kids. Seriously.
As a Tyler student I can give them credit because their response came within 6 hours of the drop. That is cool, they were the first to respond. Uarts had over a week and just took the head off and gave it back... lame. PAFA had a great response.
Oh and Moore... we're still waiting for your "prompt and well crafted response"
Explain how Uarts was creative again? They took a week to take the head off, make some shitty arrows to stick in it and leave it outside of our building.
How is that NOT creative? And if you look at the video for Uarts, they say that they were intending to do something better, but someone messed it up. At least they didn't get a bunch of sand in their collective vaginas about it and spend 4 minutes in a video being all pissy because they didn't think of something that was nearly as fun as what our students came up with and executed in a WEEK.
In a WEEK!? Oh wow... wait the Tyler students made and delivered 4 horses within 24 hours... so I wouldn't brag about your dumb video being made in a week.
P.S. Do you walk into a crit and say, "Well I was intending to do something better but someone messed it up." That doesn't fly at Tyler and I hope it doesn't at uArts.
You know what, forget it. You are just absolutely intent on being a douchebag about this. I swear, studio art students are just so damn full of themselves.
Really? Homophobic comments about the women at Moore, inanities about craftsmanship and design, tit for tat back and forths about school rankings?
I live in Philly as a working artist because this is a great city in which to make art and because I have access to varied communities of creative people. Tyler made this gesture in the spirit of playful competition and created an opportunity for dialogue between you. This diatribe I've been reading? It doesn't show your best side...
well, it looks like its been over a week and still no response from moore......i bet the other girls from the school were embarrassed about this, and if not, they should've been....
Ok, here are the FACTS... Tyler is ranked 7th in drawing & painting and 8th in sculpture in the nation. NO other Philadelphia art school is in the top 10. A little respect would be nice, thanks!
That's really stupid considering we don't focus on fine arts like you school does. So congratulations on your ranking, but again why would a school that does not, repeat DOES NOT focus on painting and drawing be in the rankings for painting and drawing? Our school is digital, therefore those rankings don't mean much to us,
I love the giggling cronies. Why do you pretend that you speak for your whole school? If the entire population of Moore thinks that it was such a terrible idea, then they can't possibly teach creative/original thought-process there. I think the schools were mostly embarrassed that they hadn't previously thought of the idea of combining fun with school art projects. can't wait for the woman-power 'retaliation'
You keep saying that you have something on the way, but we haven't gotten anything yet. In your "critique" of the construction of the horses, you fail to realize that four of these were constructed and delivered in a single night by a small group of students.
The horses were mainly meant to just let the other art schools know that yes, we have now moved to Philadelphia. The hope was to open up a kind of artistic dialogue with the other art schools, welcoming a response in playful banter.
it's just to say that tyler has arrived in the city and is gonna make a statement. so basically, moore, and the others need to step up their game now.
and seriously. it's all just fun and games. im sure the students were not serious about the horses. otherwise they would have been better. and who would make a sculpture too heavy and detailed only to possibly get ruined?
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
I'll be honest, I find both the instigation of war, and the retaliation idiotic, though the rebuttle was very witty and alot more well done than the crap tastic horse. The horse was a big waste of time and material...
Well, I'd just like to make one thing clear about this video. I made this in passing. It is by no means the response. We have something much bigger on the way, so watch out.
wow, she has the eloquence and pause technique of George Bush...i couldn't help but be memorized by her deep-man voice, so feminine, so sexy.... someone please help this girl.

People in the class had the idea to declare war but regardless, 4 hours were made in a little more than 24 hours... including delivery time.
We only respect a retaliation because as stated in the video a "prompt and well crafted response"

To the ladies @ Moore, loved your response!
