I've enjoyed Warren for many years now. I sorely miss him but when I play his music( I have all his cds including the latest posthumous releases.) it's like he's right here with me.
Wonderful song with great harmony vocals. Love the old time gospel, Appalachia feel to the song. Pure genius. God, I miss Mr. Z. I will always miss you. Thank you for posting this song.
Started listening to a lot of Zevon again recently and it occurred that he reminded me a bit of the Eagles, whom I have not liked since middle school. I decided to give them another shot - lo and behold, Eagles still suck and Z still rocks.
Since you offerred, Oh could you PLEASE consider posting French Inhaler? I truly love this song, and now there is finally 1 version but was recorded from vinyl. And thanks so much for posting this.
@p3i4l7g8 I hope you're still with us and enjoying every sandwich here in this plane. If you've moved on, say 'Hi' to Warren for me and let him know I'll be by to pay my respects in good time.
My dirty life and times may be second only to Warrens,I love the way Crystal read from the book, every time I watch it I think about all the wild times in Aspen, and all the other good shit, people, and things, that went on.
@p3i4l7g8 I read the book I got to admit there would have been times I'd probably want to punch him the face but I can say that about some of my closest friends and no doubt they'd say the same about me. But he kept growing and strove to do better, that's what counts. When you combine two crazy geniuses like Hunter Thompson and Warren Zevon there is going to be explosions (literally sometimes) of craziness.

This album hits you REAL HARD twice. the first time is the first time you hear it, the second time when someone you love finds himself in Zevon's position. God Bless.
One of the greatest song writers I can recall. Miss you, Warren.

When Freddy was doing Videos for Innuendo...the pain he dealt with was what Warren was dealing with when doing this record. Both men are missed!

Great song. I like the way that he blended in that old fashioned gospel sound into it. Sort of gives it that double-edged twist.

Ol' Dwight really held back on this one. It's a damned good effort, for all that!

Warren and Dwight! Two Classic American Originals who "just couldn't go where" they were told.
God bless then both!
