There's also Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Barbra Streisand, and a HOST of other singers and performers that would put ANY of the modern ones to shame. This includes your apparently sainted Shakira, who's voice frankly sounds as though she has the biggest buildup of mucus the world has ever seen, moreso than even Christina. BTW, internationally she's pretty hot, but Celine's sales beat her into the ground.

Shakira has vocal skills that not even celine could master. You may not like the sound of her vocie, but she can really sing, plus she's the best live peformer. Internationally she is HUGE, around 80 millon copies sold, hips don't lie is one of the most successful singles in history. celine is just older thats why she has more sales.
