I've always opened a milk carton by spreading the front then sqeezing the corners of what would become the spout. The spout just pops open. It worked for me all the time I've grown up. These days they put a plastic cap on the adjacent side of the milk carton. I don't even have to open the spout. Doo Doo Pie sounds nasty, but the singing was nice.
