I think her chinese is great (I can understand all of it!). Are there many chinese in south korea? I wouldn't know since I live in america (new york). i would love to learn another language someday .. i guess for some people it is easier ... i might have a hard time .. hehe...
@kawaiiprincess2004 Thanx 4 d nice comment Kawaii. This video was shot quite a while ago so now she is fluent 4 her age. We are so proud of her.
You can speak English and Chinese - I'm jealous of u! Learning languages has never been easy 4 me either.
There are quite a few Chinese in Korea but usually they are not treated all that well. Sudona is Am. and Kor. but we thought it would be good for her to learn Chinese so we send her to a Chinese school instead of an American or Korean school.
@LanceBarton Well, the jealous one should me be lol! Sudona is trilingual! I have expressed some interest in korean before but I'm not sure about learning it since I have no one to practice with... if it's okay to ask I wonder how she juggles all three languages?
@kawaiiprincess2004 There are some web sites if you really want to learn Korean. You can find people to practice with through these sites.
Her Korean and Chinese are both great because she speaks them all the time every day. But I am the only one she speaks English with so I feel like she is losing some vocabulary. To try to combat this she reads to me every night and I read to her every night. From middle school she will go back to an English speaking school so I am not all that worried.
I started learning Spanish but never got very far. I am now in the process of learning Korean and it is going well. One day I will be fluent in at least 2 languages (that's a little pep talk for myself)
OMG! she is soooo wow *o* ..u must be prouuud! ..looool ..im 13 & im deing juuust to learn chinese :P:P ..but i guess im just a begginer ..although i understood few of her words ..like hao-shu-zaijian-dajiahao & stuff like that ^ ^
Thanx for the nice comment. Yes, I am very proud of her, just like I am sure your parents are proud of you. Sudona goes to a Chinese school so that is why she speaks so well. Keep up working on your Chinese and one day you will be a fluent Chinese speaker. Keep us the good work.
thats very smart of her, really... but she doesnt really have to study that much in such early age... she needs to spend her childhood because shes gonna become older but thats VER SMART, just speaking different languages.. shes a multilingual person....
She is American and Korean. It would take to long to explain why we decided to send her to a Chinese school so I will just say that we thought it was the best thing for her given our circumstances.
I agree with you. We try not to push her to study so much but it is not easy given the way other kids are pushed to study here in Korea. We only ask her to do the homework her teacher gives her - that's quite different than other kids here.
Thank you so much for the nice comment. We are quite proud to be her parents. We were nervous about sending her to a Chinese school in the beginning but feel like we made the right choice now.
