I love your videos but you didn't capture the charming part of Harlem which is the west side. Wish you had scroll down Convent avenue to City College...it's so beautiful... and wish you had wandered over to the hudson river by the Park :)
Tonya I love you. I like how she just walks talking to here camera without a care in this world......no matter if she is at home or abroad. You go girl
lmao Tonya i love you lol at like 6:40 you look like me when i do something bad rotf. like splurge when im on a budget. lol happy face +shifty eyes= that face
where does she get the money and time to travel like to all the different places she goes.I wish i could just pack up and leave whenever.I got a job, family, and too many bills to be able to just travel
There's no way I would ever live in NY. The people there have bad attitudes. The apartments are raggedy for like 2000/per month. The violence and noise is never ending. Nothing like sweet southern hospitality.
your hilarious you gave great advice and its true so many people that live in the caribbean don't go to the beach. It also amazes me when I been to nyc so many times and I met native ny'ers that didn't care to go to the city
All the telecommunications people that I have met said that Verizon blackberry is better, coverage is broader, and support is better than AT&T. I had to help a partner in my firm with his BB which was AT&T and they turned his intl roaming off without letting us know and the service was paid for.
@TonyaTko -To hear or listen to the" lull of traffic",is an oxymoron.A lull is a moment of quiet,or a slowing down, listening to quiet.........And,....a BIG MISTAKE is going in the ocean at night. That is when the sharks feed. You NEVER do that.
Great video Tonya! I love that whenever you are doing a vid, you make it personal... like you know each and everyone of us who are watching =] Take care =]
Hey Tonya, I was a Blackberry fan for years. I just turned in my Blackberry Storm and went with AT&T. Also my BB Storm froze up so many time and it was new! I now have an IPhone. There's nothing like the IPhone hands down! Sooo many applications!
wow, the big apple! i always wondered what type of accent you had... ges it was a new york one. also why dont you see about an iphone 3g. their really good!
I won't take for granted where I live. I took time to go up to the 4th floor of my building and looked out the kitchen window. Then I noticed it. There are three cities on the coastal area(live on top of a mountain). Beppu, and Oita, and a third city. And its night. So its quite a beautiful sight, and during the day even better. The fresh mountain air makes things even better. I will miss it once I am back in America. Great video TKO as always :D
I will miss Beppu like I miss living in Istanbul. Both are beautiful places and for Istanbul. Its my dream to actually open up a coffee shop in istanbul right off the coast of the straight that separates europe from asia.. Miss germany, and holland also, and missing China, hongkong, shanghai, macau, malaysia, and singapore, and korea... But there are more places for me to see so I will continue to travel via work/graduate school.btw tokyo isn't a good place to learn japanese. kansaii is ichiban!
oo cool. Well I use Softbank right now, and they're screwing me over in my bill. For four months now I've been charged over 200 dollars when I'm only suppose to pay 35 dollars. And I don't even make calls with my phone just emails.
Ummm @momo, you do realize the earth is round right? And that there would be a huge difference btwn looking straight up into the air, and staring 6.000 miles around the curve of the earth?
B4 I say too much let me google this telescope ;-)
lol that's why I mentioned technological advancements. I forget the name or how exactly the device is configured, but it was a work in progress until recently completed. It's not an ordinary telescope. It was made so that it could visually reach overseas (even with the earth being round) in real time. yeah, it's difficult to explain. If you google it you can obtain more in depth info. It's really cool! =)
Hmmmn... Google: Telescope Brooklyn London there is an article in the NY Times (Still reading it) and it seems there may be some truth to this? But it all seems like a joke (gotta keep reading)
Seems it was available last year may-june... How can this be? Is this a trick? Is it like a webcam? Seems like you can only see the other telescope in London.
Sad news MoMo... its not real. It was art and they were using fiberoptics. U'd look into the scope and see the image broadcast in real time from London. It was like looking into a telescope and seeing a lil tv monitor.
It was a nice and creative idea, but impossible to implement, so they supplemented the realization with imagination.
Nice idea though and I WISH that I could have seen it when it was here :)
Thank you for reminding me to appreciate my place of living. I guess lots of big-city people nag about the noise and polution and how they want to go to the forest or to the sea side, but in our heart we really love that noise, and bridges. I love bridges too. This is a very deep and inspiring video. And how did you survive a whole year in Japan without knowing the language!? I'd get so home sick lol
Well i think she might've picked up some japanese. Living in Japan is a bit different and the language barrier does become a huge problem, but not so much.
Yeah its tru Lynxy, it would be impossible to be there and not let anything filter in. I learned JUSSSST enough to get by.
Ima sukoshi nihongo wakarimasu. Wasuretmashita.
But if I had put my mind to it, I would have had an amazing time. NEVER again... Never will i let foolish pride and a vendetta get in the way of me living my life.
Great Video Tonya.. . I was excited seeing different things in your video that i have only ever seen on the T.V. .. I would go crazy seeing them for real! LOL It's great that you see them everyday and still get a kick out of them.. :)
@5:06 you said "My arm is getting tired", I thought, "My arm would've been tired 5 mins. ago!" Not only did you do a great job with the vid in general, having it in "HQ", holding the camera 4 that long, & keeping it steady while you're walking, shows that you really put thought into these "walking vlogs." Great job Tonya. :o) It was cute when you looked across the street & said "whenever I see a yellow cab, it warms my heart." You sounded adorable saying that. Once again, great vid Ms. Tko :o)
Positive? I don't stay positive. I just don't make videos when I'm feeling negative, it only upsets ppl. So I make vids when I have good stuff to share... plus I talk a lot abt my negative POV like refusing to learn japanese etc etc. But thanks Pat, if you think I'm positive then I'll take the compliment.
Sis you like Bridged because it represents "transition" and " the "joining together of things." Look at you, you love to try new things, and incorporate one aspect of your life to the next. That is why you love bridges..wink wink
I DO love bridges. Everything about them... the suspension, the water passing underneath... I even like bridges over dried up nooks. I love the shapes, designs, materials. I really DO love them, new, old, metal, stone & wood. I just love how they look & what they represent.
I really like this video. I've been so intrigued with NYC lately. I live in AZ, and its where I grew up, but I've been all over the country, Florida, Boston, LA, the Bay, Chicago, the midwest, the south...etc
But I've just missed the Mid-Atlantic for some reason-and thats where everything happens at! NY, Philly, DC, Baltimore.
I'm gonna find a way to take a trip out there soon. I have to. Even my parents spent a few weeks in NY once but left me and my sisters in Indiana with our grandma!
i agree with all that you have said Tania! the whole meaning of travelling is to discover new and exciting sights/sounds/experiences and to also appreciate what you have back at home....i live and work around Sydney, i travel past the Harbour Bridge nearly everyday, to me its just a bridge but to many visitors their eyes light up at the very sight of it..its been awhile since ive actually walked around its area, i might do that soon! :) thanks for this vid, take care :) :)
