aside from british vs. american differences, what is the difference between a bar and a pub? sorry for my ignorance

@holyuttapambatman the lines are kind of blurred in respect to that answer as people use the terms interchangeably nowadays. However, a pub usually serves beer - including draft (draught) beer as well as food. A bar serves cocktails and mixed drinks and generally doesn't have much in the way of a menu except for snack foods. I pardon your ignorance. As my teacher used to say "There are no stupid questions....only stupid answers"

@thetommy1903 Ya, the mojito is gaining in popularity but there's a lot of preparation involved, so if you order it in a nightclub, you'll likely get a weird look. It is a specialty drink insomuch as it requires ingredients that most bars normally don't have on hand - mint leaves.
