There was an employee on the nymex floor who was a homosexual and wasn't afraid to show it. Everyday traders on the floor used to taunt him and say cruel jokes. When you play a football game and win did you steal it from the opposition? No one is forced to trade, the people on the other end of a winning trade knew what they were doing when they got in, and if they didn't they deserved to lose.

I have not quite got the jist of the arguement but being a hedge fund trader myself, anyone accusing the markets of losing traders have their head truely lodged somewhere & it is thoroughly stuck. Over the last 7 years the derivatives market has exploded. The amount it has grown in that time is over 4 times the world realestate value.

Although I agree that if you are a good trader you can literally have anything you want. I think that many people's perception of risk has gone out the window.
