It has no vents on the bottom? What about it getting hot? TigerDirect/CircuitCity is selling this, (actually the 4525s) for $399 that I was thinking about getting... but if it gets hot, it wouldn't be a good buy.
@Reqrezentin Yea, it works well for a student, though you might want something tougher, like a ThinkPad if you'll be moving it around a lot. Or something lighter.
i just dont understand why ppl watch some bloke talking about a box? i mean since when a manufacturer lied or somehow forgot to put something in the box that wasnt in the manual.
he takes 1.30 1.32 so lets just take a look at the packing materials.....on top we have foam taped or glued in some foam taped ontop of the notebook...YAWN!...and he still hasnt opened the box and watch out for the very unimportant piece of foam shown to the world.....yawn..
hi there.I have a question. Are ThinkPads better than HP business laptops? What about the build quality? Are there any cheap plastics? because I have an R61i and there are some plastics wich flex way too much :s and I'm not happy about taht my step-father uses a T500 and the screen flexes Lenovo doesn't really have a build quality but probably last for a long time,How long would hp laptops work? please help
is this good for gaming such as playing RPG/Online games? like can it handle Online Games with High Def Graphic requirments..and is it laggy does it freeze every now and then when playing games? can it load files and etc...smoothly?
I want to buy a new laptop and I don't know which is better, hp 4510s or dell studio 1555, I've heard that when this hp 4510s is working it has a big noise, is it true?
yea too catch, video is tough :) overall build is better than your typical consumer notebook, but not on par with an elitebook or ThinkPad (etc.). I didn't have any serious issues with it at all. No flex on the palmrests, and the screen seems sturdy enough to hold up... If you are really worried about durability you want the 6930p, but I think most people will be happy with this.
good catch video is tough! the quality is good better than your average consumer notebooks, and I had no issues with the computer in this respect. That said, if you really want durability you should consider the 6930p

I am using this, and I don't really like this.
Its heavy, finger prints get everwhere.
The touchpad gets super oily very easily.
Hindges are very weak, they are already very loose after around 2 months of closing and opening
The worst is the speaks.
The tiny holes around the turn on button can get all sort of dust and things in there.

I recently had one of these and sold it for an Asus N71Vn-X1. And I have to say this laptop is more for business use and not gaming.
So, no it wouldn't be good for gaming.

i heard some bad things about the touch buttons. are they really that bad?
and how are the graphics? im not expecting all that much but hopefully its tolerable..

How is the build quality? Do the hand rests flex? Is the screen surround well reinforced?
