@PuckMyLife45 Clearly you don't understand the rules. You are not allowed to play the puck with a high stick at any point to score a goal. That rule doesn't go away just because its a shootout/penalty shot. Both goals would not have counted. Sick skills though.
It's actually a skill competition and although the moves are amazing, it's not a legal goal since he held the puck above the cross bar.
Since Crosby made the Michigan move famous (not invented, but yet made it famous), the NHL rule book have a rule specially made for Lacross-like puck carrying in the shootout section, I think. There's also one allowing the 360.

ive seen that so many times(also in actual games during the play but only in the minors)and the only thing i dont understand is y isnt that high sticking when the bring it up to high
gageybearz is right... it can be on the stick as long as they dont go above the crossbar.... the michigan goal (by legg i believe) never went above the bar... thats why high sticking was never called
too bad he's a pussy and cant make it in the nhl.

either of those shootout goals would have counted. if you dont touch the puck with your hands or kick it in your good to go.

the puck is allowed to be on your stick for three secons, (1 , 2 , 3) and then the whistles are blown, any thing is allowed in that frame :)
Chargersman77 2 years ago
Not even close to true. But good try...
Gageybearz 2 years ago
it is, like in simple moves (lacrosse style, michigan)
Chargersman77 2 years ago
In the NHL you can hold the puck on your stick as long as you want as long as it doesnt go above the crossbar.
