  • Nice Afghan song and poem, very emotional.

  • Empty city, empty road, empty alleys, and empty home.

Empty crown, empty table, empty cup, and measuring cup.

My understanding is open to migrate group by group.

Empty garden, empty plant, empty branches, and empty nest.

The Friend is fearful of friend in the world.

The thirsty blooms are fear of the Garden.

The lover is fearful of the reputation of its sweetheart.

The musician paw is fear of its guitars.

  • The rider is fear of paved road.

The doctor is terrified of seeing the patient.

The instruments shall break and the poet’s pain passed the limit.

The years of waiting passed badly between you and me.

    The familiar became unfamiliar.

Therefore, I was frightened to say yes.

I cried I sob I knocked the ring on every door.

The stone by stone of cottage ruins knocked over.

  • No water spilled from watery.

    No sleep jolted in asleep.

The springs water were dried and the tail of pains was the suffering of thirst.

    The sky legends were underestimated.

The fusion cup was not boiling; the love does not embrace happiness.

Nobody wants to bother to hear my moan.

If gone with caravan road shall open.

Being with soul mate shall become cute and charming.

  • really stunning song

  • What a wonderful poem! Who is the poet?

  • @Sweetwords1 Amir jan sabori, An Afghan singer composer and poet. The song was sang for Afghanistan by him. This Tajik singer sings it well too.

  • asheq az awazeye didar mitarsad, not dildar

  • ... Drinking wine is a metaphor for finding the Divine essence within. Hafiz in the Sufi mystic who has reached the apex of knowledge and has dissolved in the ocean of Unity. His drunkenness is a spiritual state in which he is one with the Creator - there is no duality - no separation.

  • This is the lamentation of a spiritual seeker who is looking for a companion - another traveler on the path - that may share the same agony of separation from the Beloved. None is to be found, as wherever she looks is empty (of eager souls). She recalls the moment of separation, when she entered this world, and knows the only way back is to return to the truth of oneself within. Read the poem carefully and contemplate on the deeper meaning of the words. You may find it resonate within you.

  • I am an Iranian, and this soft, gentle and beautiful song, just proved to me how the strong links which ties us together through our common past history- before Bukhara and Samarghand were separated from Iran- are still strong and very much alive........ Besyar Ziba boud! Sepasgozaram! :)

سنگ سنگ کلبه‌ی ویرانه را بر سر زدم the cottage rocks rock by rock hitting her on her head ( where all happened )

  • The story is about a lady who got cheated the lover (after he took her Virginity) left her so she sees empty, in everything the town, nest, gardens, farms her house empty Nothing at all, she said "Oh from world That friends scared from friends (not trust) thirsty Flowers branches scared from Vase", the so she cried told everybody, even Imam Ali,as the Dr. to Cary too, she remembers that cottage, where it all happen,as each block hitting her head & the story goes on, singer all come in one harmony.

  • Thanx gattan999 for your comment, it was useful,...... :)

  • @gattan999 I found your comment quite useful too. Thanks for clarifying.

  • @gattan999 cheating had nothing to do with this song.

  • You have a wild imagination about some lady who lost her virginity.

This song has nothing to do with Some of the lyric is correct; she sees emptiness in everything. The bigger picture is that "times change and everything changes with time. But this change is not to the positive that one expects, the change is quite negative whereby "lovers who longed to see each other for quite a while are afraid to look at each other", "a thirsty flower longing for water is afraid to drink", and so on.

  • @nozir123 i agree the song has nothing to do with this singer, its an Afghan song for Afghanistan and how they country is empty at the moment. Originally from Amir Jan Sabori.

  • @gattan999 My dear HAM ZABAAN, even I didn't understand your translation. Thank God I still understand Persian after over 40 years living out of the country. Also, it needs tons of corrections. I hope I did not offend you since that was not the purpose of this comment. I thought you were going to mention why the name of Haafez was changed to the word (Qesseh)? I like the song but I prefer the original that was sang many years ago by Mr. Saboory. Again I hope you were not offended.

  • @gattan999 What the heck are you talking about? This song is about our country. About how everyone left our precious country during the war. How it got destroyed. And how it's now waiting for all of us to return to it and rebuild it to the way it was before the war. Beautifull and peacefull. The song's NOT not about a man and a woman. Do you even speak farsi or dari?

  • @gattan999 who made the lyrics of this song?

I dont want to fade out you. so i can not translate.

  • for my dear friend Aussie Yousafzai and all other frieds who dont know Farsi, this is a translation of this poetry to English although you dears know that many deep impressions of the poetry will be lost in translation.

The town is silent, road empty, the path clear and my house is soundless

My chalice empty, my table blank, wine cup and goblet all drained out

All close friends and relatives migrated, nightingales gone.

  • Nice song. But please can someone translate it for me. I am Pashtun can understand some but not the whole song. Thanx.

  • Musicians scared of their instruments

Horse rider is worried even of a flat road

This doctor is anxious of his patient,

All the instruments out of tune nobody can imagine the pain of poems

We had a bad time in years and years of waiting and expecting

    Nobody is your friend anymore,

  • All streams dried out and the sea crying of thirst.

Even the sky can’t believe our tale

No passion in our chalices and no one embraces love

No one cares about me and my whimper

Come back and let the Caravan be back

Come back and let all the sweethearts be back

Come back so singers and melodies and instruments come back.

So my lovely idol will be back and I will spread flowers to her feet.

Come back so we can go to Hafiz’s tomb

Spread flowers and celebrate by drinking wine

  • i dont understnd persian language but i like this song coz lot of urdu words r used. . .

  • I don't vrelly like her songs but i lisen into it sometimes becouse the moust time i lisen to my sesters songs

  • Damn those people who compromise with their enemies

Lose their dignity to the dictators

Even entertainers tuned the instruments for them.

Look the cruel how is attacking us

Hanging kids in every town and in every neighborhood

He is proud of his lash and his hanging trees

  • I hope that one day our lives n our beautiful country Afghanistan will be full of happiness n joy. Wa hamesha bahar bahsad barae hama hamwatanan azizam...

  • It is so beautiful and heartwarming at the same time ; it is so sad and so emotional . I wish we could live in a world without war and poverty.

  • I wanted the name of the "Sha'ar) poet not the singer. Even Mr. Saboori sings it with Iranian "Lahja". Why? Thank you.

  • hamzabane Tajike azizam. Besyaar ziba bood va lezzat bordam. Man be omide roozi zende am ke roozi yek keshvare Parsi zabane bozorg shavim. We love you all.

  • Please tell me who is the poet of these beautiful lyrics?

  • I can't imagine how any one is able to make a negative comment after listening to such a powerful song. Just marvelous. It does not belong to any one nationalilty or language. It belongs to the world. Some people like fast and happy songs some emotionally charged and deep songs. Let's respect each other and enjoy what we desire best.

  • I agree with Shahipar. It sounds so Persian; a culture that cherishes sadness, victimhood and martyrdom.

  • Nice performance, thanks

But, again persian lyrics with sad and negative theme!!

We need HAPPY and CHEERFUL songs!!!

  • This beautiful and powerful poem witch mixed with good melody and very nice voice is reflection of human sorrow and psychological pain and suffering of most Afghan nation.

It looks hard to listen and not to get deeply emotional.
