Heard is up to about 205 lbs pry tell. He was the talk of the Summer workouts from what I understand. Fall practice has been an intense battle between Heard, Green and Abullah. Ameer might be the leading the pack right now. I expected Heard having an extra year to to get in shape, and just being hungry to play to be the clear cut front runner. Not so. All three of these guys are very fast, but Taylor Martinez has World-Class speed. I don't know if they are in that league yet.
Guys go to bleachereport or scout .com they tell you about this kinda stuff no im not advetsing i got it off there he is for sure going to nebraska this year.
@huskerpride i love Nebraska football but he sort of has the same problem as LP dude couldn't get a 16 on act bruh i mean u get 13 for just writing ur name haha but hope him green and abdullah can contribute to the huskers.
Somewhat similar style to A Green. With the loss of Helu we need explosive players like Braylon and Green; Burkhead is reliable but doesn't have the elusiveness and speed of these two. Both Braylon and Green should start as Frosh. You can't keep talent like this off the field.
Just to add to the fire; we are having the Best Offensive Line recruiting year in the history of NU!
Youngstown OH, Cardinal Mooney High School best high school ever, and B. Herd #5. Shuck his hand multiple times. He's a beast!! But he's ineligible to play.
@alecsvro a benefit of having the pelinis running things. they went to this highschool with stoops. nebraska is going to start raking in the hard nose ohio kids and steal some penn players. getting back to being the hardest hittin team in the country on both sides.
hey all. Look at Jermarcus "Yoshi" Hardrick. He is from our state ane we have met and partied with him. He should be the anchor of our offensive line next year. Run the wildcat with burkhead and lee behind Yoshi!!!!! GBR!!!!
I think he not only shows speed, but a rare toughness to go along with it. There's quite a few plays where his blocking is perfect and he's the fastest kid on the field, by far. And there's some others where he takes some hits, breaks some tackles, and shows a strong will to get to the end zone. A lot of these plays were designed between the tackles and to be broken open on the outside. This kid could be great with some development, and we got the coaches for that.
@SuperTripleO no one wants your pointless analysis. hes good we know. all you have to say is. "this guy is good maybe our offense wont suck cock anymore" and you'll be ok. sound good sweetums?
Dude, this kid is FAST. He has great vision when running the ball, good strength to shed the tackles. Give him a few years under the current coaching staff, and he will be a great RB for Nebraska.
Kid looks fast, but he does what all high school kids do, he heads straight for the sideline so he can outrun people. Won't work at the Big 12 level. Wonder how tough he is?
well first thing i noticed..is abright701 totally negating what he said in his own post as he replied to himself.. lol. anyway.. i think NU will have a good offense. Lee shouldn't have problems with his elbow, our young team has more experience, we have a ton of great RBs. I think the biggest hit we take is on defense with the loss of Suh. But i think Crick will step up nicely. Hard to tell though. All i know is i can't wait for football season to start.
luke88aaa, what are you talking about, we lose no one at O-Line, and our Line was never the problem, it was our receivers and backs and their butter fingers that hurt us most of all (as well as Lee's inconsistency, but we now know it was due to injury). don't worry we will be fine on the line on both sides of the ball.
@luke88aaa we got tyler moore coming in 5 star recruit..... reeves from crete Nebraska 4 star recruit and "Yosho" Jamarucs Harddrick 4 star also from last year. we got ALOT of talent coming up on the line
buddennis2. we will never be set offensively with one breakaway receiver (niles paul) and a retarded offensive coordinator who refuses to make in-game changes.
J21Dub do you mean currenski? as in currenski gillyen? lol but yes, we are set for next year in about every position on the field on either side of the ball. These redshirts are GOOD that Bo is giving us to watch, and this is the year of the RF i presume.
my mistake, it should have been renski, it is a nickname around campus that we use. but just for reference, it is Curenski Gilleylen. haha, so now we all know.
this kid can fly, he sees the hole and gets through. with burkhead running the wildcat we make this kid run the jet action we are gonna be hard to stop
Needs to improve his running angle and put on about 15 lbs of muscle. He's very explosive, and has great balance. But hey that looks like a pretty darn impressive offinsive line He was running behind.. Allot of gaping holes in this footage. Probably would have been rated much higher if He had more size.
@abright701 speed is not the only asset to a breakaway receiver. look at the raiders first round draft pick last year. they went for the fastest guy in the draft over crabtree and everybody thinks that was the stupidest move made in the last decade. im just saying after the offensive season we just had you cannot say we are set for next year. especially with shawn watson as the offensive coordinator
He does have some similarities to Reggie Bush but not much. Heard is explosive, versatile and can stretch the field some and looks more of an inside straight ahead runner (which is what I like opposed to one that favors breaking to the outside because it's hard to do that in CFB.) Reggie was more elusive though and had more acceleration upfield and could change direction on a dime. He was more of a zig-zag type of runner which is very rare in CFB. Just watch Bush's highlights from HS.
Just thinking about the prospect of having Braylon and Rex Burkhead in the backfield in sending shivers down my spine...this kid has a nose for the endzone and good breakaway speed...Scouts inc only has him as a three star?!?!? have they seen this?? Braylon is sure to be a star..seein a lot of Reggie Bush in this kid
anyone else think that the huskers class is a little under rated?? lol i mean watching him, kenny bell, and quincy enunwa... all three are good. the huskers have a good class on defense but i think its a steal on the offensive side =)
i must say i also think this class is a steal, and with Cooper at saftey signing and Turner next year. I think we are starting to get some amazing players in the system. Not to mention Brion Carnes
if you want to see the best high school running back in Oklahoma go check out Zack Langer Jenks Oklahoma Junior highlights plays division 6A, and put up 2,346 yards, 38 TD's last season.
Dayum with that number 5 jersey I can't help but to say he looks like a young Reggie Bush in the backfield. Welcome to Nebrsaka Heard.. Glad to have you..

Now his 40 is 4.3.
If T. Martinez can stay consistent and be like he was those first 7 games............holy $#!T.
T-Magic at QB 6'1 205 4.4
Rex Burkhead at RB 5'11 210 4.5
Aaron Green RB 5'11 190 4.4
Braylon Heard 5'10 180 4.3
Ameer Abdullah 5'9 180 4.4
CJ Zimmerer @ FB 6'0 235 4.5 (will start NEXT year)
...This is going to turn out to be one HELL of a backfield this year and next year....they will not graduate ANYONE this year
