@rat0attack I always took the lyrics from Ask Me Anything to be a foreshadowing of things to come with the band, like their split. It doesn't mean he quite literally has "nothing to say." This also shows on his solo album. Although I wouldn't call his lyrics genius, he says some really profound things and has a way of putting words to emotions, to ways that I've felt that I wouldn't have necessarily put words to. He has a high sense of awareness of himself which makes him a great lyricist.
