just a quick question about that gesture you have for voice search. what app is that associated with. I swear i remember seeing it somewhere on my phone but i cant find it for the life of me. I have the same phone as you to a T. And have picked up a few of the things you have mentioned. I also have launcher pro. If you can help that would be awesome thank you so much.
Haha, I'm still going to reply, because I forgot to mention it. It is a feature that you can activate in launcher pro by longpressing on an icon in the bottom.
What are the best apps that you use. Also, will the app you are using now will it work on the Samsung Epic? What website you use to get your google apps?
Check the apps I have in my app drawer. Those are all good apps (and my favorites) and most of them should work on your Samsung Epic (nice phone btw!).
You can also scroll through the android market>apps>top free/top paid for the most popular or hot apps.
I can also recommend visiting the sites androidguys and androidandme.
If you longpress on the search button, it should come up if your phone supports that feature. It will give you menu of voice search and quick settings. Some phones however don't support this shortcut. You can however, in the settings of quick settings enable a constant shortcut in the notification bar to quick settings.
When I try to do the voice search and send a text it doesn't put the contact name in it. it adds it all to the message so in the "send to" it is blank and in the message part it would say: "send to jazmyn hey whats up". Can you help?
The Voice Actions are also sometimes difficult for me. Simple commands will work, but when it comes to sending texts and emails, I can't really get it to work. My guess is that it might have to do with being specific with the contacts. So, you might have to say Jazmyn [lastname] for it to work, while with calling (with its countdown before it places the call) is less strict.
Other than that, I don't think I can help. You might have better luck with another recognition app called Vlingo.
I have tried Locale, Tasker, Settings Profiles and Toggle Settings and they are all good in their own way. The problem with the 24 hour return policy however is that you won't see the things that end up being a deal breaker yet. For example, low reliability for location or other conditions will render the app useless and make you switch settings manually again. Locale has proven itself better time and time again and that's why it is worth 10 bucks to me.

Met die lockscreen vervanger zie ik eerst nog een paar seconden het standaard lockscreen (die van Touchwiz in my case). Kan ik dat veranderen?

Another good Locale/Tasker alternative is Setting Profiles.
