This is a Daimler CVD6, with front-mounted engine. The Freeline was fitted with a horizontal underfloor mid-engine either Daimler's own D650HS of 10.65 litres or Gardner 6HLW at 8.37 litres.
You have a massive task there, I wish you all the best. By the way I think you will find it is a CVD6 not a freeline. Invercargill had 16 of them. I thought they were all dead.
