@katietrinh95 you can try puttin the email and password in but if you dont have that info. you need to get someones G1 data ready sim.(not just any sim card)~~

@pioneer6900 normally it should be your email but if someone unlocked it for you then you need to find the person who unlocked it and get their email and password!!! if you dont know who that was or if they forgot their password you will need to reset the whole phone and unlock it with your own email and pass (BUT THAT REQUIRES THE DATA PACKAGE) SO if you dont want to pay for data find someone with a g1 that has data on their phone and borrow their sim to unlock your phone with your phone

@MrLilvonsmith In order for your sim to work on the phone (or for the phone to work at all) the phone needs to be unlocked meaning someone with a g1 data ready sim card needs to unlock your phone then your sim card should work!

@mattcolon the data for the g1 is different so you would have to add that plan if you wanted 3g on the g1 !! or if you dont want to do that . just use your wifi!!! and that should all work!

the internet plan for g1 is 30 dollars per mnth and its not that worth it to get it if ur not really gonna use internet on ur fone wat u can do is if u decided to get g1 and they tell u to get internet on it with the plan get it and then cancell the internet on it 1 week later and ur fone will still work

ok we all know that if youve already activated the phone with a tmobile sim it will work as long as its unlocked. if you have a brand new g1 you have to use a tmobile g1 data plan to log into you google account.

nobody can do without internet paid, the G1 was ready to work does not see why not go in with an account from Google, and why has that passw, only is open if you are paying a plan of sidekick- i did that

and u said when you turn your g1 one you gotta put your gmail account and password but when i saw your video when you turned it on it went straight to the home screen.

I had a Rizr Z3 with the 5.99 a month internet plan I use my friends G1 to see if it would work with my Sim card the same way and it did. Did it quick but don't know if you have any limitations tho. But decided to upgrade and get my G1 expecting it today =)

because sometime you can't afford the plan, or your credit isn't right to get the phone on contract. Like me, i bought mines off my cousin and have a sidekick-data plan and it works on mines perfectly as long as i have wifi

if u dont have a texting plan on ur account then u would get charged, but if u r on wifi then u can't get charged for downloading apps... and the cupcake update is automatic. or u can download it through a website...
