here in new zealand we celebrate guy fawkes too .same day and we light fireworks ,its awesome, we dont clebrate thanksgivingg, xmas day is our version of thankgiving probably the same as the english.

Thanksgiving is a day that celebrates the first meal that the colonists and Indians shared together :) That's the simple explanation haha.

ACTUALLY, guy fawkes was spanish, and his real name was Guido Fawkes. Jonny isnt that clever eyy ;)

@AndyNomNom He was born and educated in York! He did leave england to fight with the spanish army for a while, when he took up the name 'Guido'........Jonny is that clever!!

The killing of the Native Americans didn't come until quite later....which was a horrible, shameful part of the history of our nation.

Thanks for making the video! It was quite interesting learning the history behind your holiday..it's actually kind of creepy.Thanksgiving is the time when the  Pilgrims, who fled religious persecution in England, came to America.They were nearly dying because they didn't know how to farm the land. The natives showed the Pilgrims how to plant crops..which saved their lives. Thus, they were very thankful to God for sparing them and sending them help.

I love it too! This year we went to Sainsburys last minute so there were no fireworks left apart from one large fountain/roman candle. It lasted about 20 seconds. It was pretty though!
