  • What a neat gym and great bunch of guys! Great to see! From my limited experience powerlifting is just as much mental as physical. These men help each other work through both aspects. Great job!!

  • so you wanna find out? you got mine for starters lol

  • Mr. Kegrice is awsome! He is a great teacher

  • @ 2:00 is he doing decline??

  • i think so

  • hot men buffffffff

  • u better b a chick

  • why does he have to be a chick. this is 2009. men can be men and find other men attractive

  • Is his knee injured due powerlifting or what?

Anyway, great video, i love powerlifting.

  • love this video

  • Great video!

  • great vido ..i wish i have the money to build a gym like that in my house..

  • I miss that sound from the old 45s of my gym, these guys changed them for the new stuff, they suck not only they don't look good they take more space than the old ones.Maybe I shouldn't bitch and move to an other gym.

  • excellent video!! i love westside...

  • Profesional video,it looks like it was made by 60 min. great job guys.

  • awesome built guys

  • Are these the A.M. or P.M.'s?

  • you guys are awesome! Great respect to all of you.

  • weighted dips.hammer curls.triceps.(bend over)rows.AND BENCH... check out some 5x5 training programs

  • that old guy ROCKS

  • love weight-lifthing

  • Awesome video. I like WSB's unorthodox approach to powerlifting.

  • That's a sacrifice he made to lift a lot of weight.

  • kegrice is my teacher i swear!

  • anybody know any good exercises that would help the begining of my bench i have no problem locking out

  • If you find out let me know. I have the same problem

  • pause press (bench normal but when you bring the bar to your your chest hold it for a 2 sec. count)it has worked for me

  • Do you triple and then go for a single max with this method?

  • you can just do the normal amount of sets and reps as you would do on a standard bench press or you could incorporate pause presses in after standard bench workin pauses up to a 3 to 5rm

  • Thanks for that. In which way do you think weight releasers help for the bench?

  • every once in awhile to use them i heard was good i dont use them but supposedly its the best way to build explosive strength on the bottom of the lift

  • Thanks for your replies.

  • Westside BB: Benching 500 lbs while going bald.

  • lol; anabolic steroid use

  • Prof. LB... cool

  • is that a grandpa benching and squatting at the 3min mark? god damn he's a strong mofo ...

  • he doesnt touch and go on the box squat because it wouldnt be a box squat if he did, your supposed to sit back on the box not sit down, pause and squat up. the box squat is equivalent to the floor press for upper body strength

  • How come he pretty much sits down on the box squat instead of just touch and go?

  • build starting strength in the bottom position of the squat

  • box squats build starting strength in the bottom position of the squat

Pause bench = competition bench press

  • Great Video! Very well done.

    GO HEAVY OR GO HOME!

  • Bro what is this guy talkin about a bodybuilder wants to be big, not all bodybuilders just want to be big!, they want to be proportional, lean, without a gut look at frank zane he wasent that big but ask anyone if he was a bodybuilder though

  • damn I LOVE this!!!

  • intense!

  • I am just starting a west side like routine, speed box squats speed benches. man it's intense

  • Thats what its all about...he didnt mention much about the mental aspects of this kind of training which wouldve been even better.still though, its a pretty awesome vid

  • wow! hardcore

  • You've got some great videos up here, but this one is clearly your best. I really like that shot of the airplane flying overhead. (I think it's a little insensitive with the events of 9/11 - but whatever) My only other criticism is your lack of your lack of a soundtrack. I know when I lift, I listen to a lot of sludge metal (Deathkill 666, The Abortionists, Death Disposal & The Llama Turds, to name a few) and think that some of their music could have done nothing but to help your film.

  • good job

  • Wow! Thats what going to the gym should be like. I wish my gym was more intimate and straight to the point and focused like this one. Awesome!

  • Archimedes was the brillant mind behind boyancy and architecture, does that mean no one is qualified to show, comment, or teach his knowledge or his methods?

  • Every one in power lifting circles copies, or adapts Westside's training methods.

I doubt that they achieve the results of Westside's lifters because their compromised training methods have strayed from the original- Westside's training methods.

Louis Simmons - the pioneer of power lifting- is the only person qualified to comment or show the Westside training method.

  • Where is this footage taken from? Is it a kond of DVD?

    Looks pretty professional.

  • BRUTAL!!

  • those guys are pretty strong. nice old school gym too.

  • Great
