@9thWardJukebox It is! But whats weird is that I live in Vermont, but Ive been to Louisiana and have a mom who knows everything about Mardi gras. So there will projects about vermot maple sugaring, and smack in the middle history is Mardi Gras :D

@psandrakelly From what i've heard and saw on other research, Mardi gras in the U.S. "started" on an Island on the Gulf coast of Louisiana earlier than Mobile (Louisiana). In any case, i've always for many years told others that Mobile celebrated mardi gras before New Orleans, SO WHAT! In the words of Rodney King, "can we all just get along"? (paraphrasing) lol. New Orleans' MG has MORE flavor (in many respects) than Mobile i might add, and there's more things to do, see and eat in N.O. too.

@tiffanyisanangel Never been there when Mardi Gras is celebrated. When I do go, you can find me at the Hard Rock Hotel. Great pool, great music and oh how I love them VIP passes for Universal Studios and Universal's Islands of Adventure where you go to the front of the line. Perfect for someone like me who has the patience of a gnat.
@9thWardJukebox oh yea mardi gras at universal studios is so much fun they have about 15 bands going to be there this year like the beach boys ne yo the b 52s and what ever else they have oh yea kc and the sun shine band is going to be there so much fun when i was there watching them
