  • sehr professionell jungs, anstatt der demos - firence - etc siehst du ein close up von einem lacsoste shirt - ca 4 mins

    danke

  • Eric Smidth is really suited for President

  • Just imagine to travel to anywhere in the world and be able to converse with someone in a different language amazing.

  • The "camera man" is actually another invention that Google is demostrating today...

  • google are steeling dentitys

  • Mankind can't even look in the mirror and duplicate himself, let alone duplicate anything else. To look towards the past ages and see now that the only thing living in the light is the robotics, you start to question the triviality of alpha/numerical. Hey it might be the 21st century but to me I just see zombies. The technologies THEY'VE installed into the populace just let people have little ego thrills but is being thrilled mans only need. Or has the needs just transformed into desires? weLost

  • why google doesn't enable this on web page??????

  • wow look at how much crap people are making, the only good thing is the translation thing. Texting is usless ... they made this amazing thing like 100 years ago called the phone ..... yeah you just talk to people ...imagine that not texting ...lol jesus lol

  • Boy, Eric. I'm so sorry all of us Americans are so stupid. It must be hard for you to live in a country surrounded by so many fools, who made who filthy rich. Please continue pedalling regulation, Big Labor, and Big Green, and that will surely remedy us po' folk.

  • That camera man is amateur? Why the hell he can't pan and tilt correctly?

  • That camera man is amateur? Why the hell he can't pan and tilt correctly?

  • No he was snoozing, and woke up every once in a while to move the camera.

  • 29:29 yea yea, we can see the red dot... ohhh thats you, you are not the dot

  • Please get a better camera time, or have at least 2 cameras!

    Thanks for all the information

  • Either Google hired a monkey as a camera man or the camera man was drunk off his ass

  • @JjsTwinks yeah she was definitely creepy. 54:27 for those who do not want to search.

  • @sokrin perfectly valid question, facial recognition is only a matter of time.

  • the cameraman is so stupide!

  • fuckin' camera man!

  • hahahahhhah Which Cable

  • The Camera work is HORRIBLE!!! Does anybody have a link to maybe a different camera angle?

  • I LOVE GOOGLE

  • Very good google transed

  • Yo what's up with the camera guy. at 30:00 , there is a demo for the new Street View and the camera guy keeps recording the dude... Wow..

  • Are the words "table" and "color" that similar in German?

  • @KnightMD Nope. Color is "Farbe" (he asks: "Welche Farbe?" meaning "Which color?"

And the word for table is "Tisch" (pronounced "Tish", rhyming with 'fish')

  • @KnightMD I think it said "cable", which is "Kabel" in German. Same open A and muted E, sandwiching a B.

  • I support google in all their innovation and sense of openness and contribution to the inevitable information based future of the world, etc. BUT I also think its important they do what they can to make the functionality of their products also available offline to whatever extent it proves possible. Already the potential for syncing things like Google Docs with Android exists but it seems things like this are overlooked neglected. Online life is much better as a choice than a necessity.

  • @IndivisiblePrinciple Cloud is Google's focus...and the new wave in tech. Offline will become old news

  • @hoppers292 I am aware of that. But at present offline existence is still a practical reality for plenty of Americans, and what to speak of the rest of the world

I understand that Googles main model for monetising is essentially dependent on people being online someway or another, etc etc. but ultimately making the integration of offline existence as seamless as possible is still a very relevant and practical measure that will hardly effect the inevitable outcome of things. So I am for it :)

  • More tools to keep people stupid for the elite to do whatever they want to them!

  • This already exists on the iPhone, it is called SpeechTrans and is 90% accurate because it uses Nuance Maker of Dragon Naturally Speaking for Speech Recognition. Check out SpeechTrans on the App Store

  • it all began with Steve, Bill and Linus, then came Eric Schmidt and John Chambers to wrap it up...

  • I wonder can this google tv be infected with virus? Since its still a computer...

Just a stupid question... dun nuke me lolz

  • compare this presentation to Steve Jobs'. the demos suck here. you don't see anything.

Google is good for infrastructure. Apple for the pretty stuff.

  • und Steven Gätjen auch wieder dabei :D

  • no puedo creerme todas esas nuevas tegnologias!

  • You can always hook your old computer and a bluetooth / wireless keyboard and mouse to achieve these mobile tv things for nearly cost free...

  • @merphistorealbot For the last 3 years I have been using my 60" HDTV also as a monitor for an Internet connected PC with Chrome as the browser. Would I want the GoogleTV? You bet, I would! Right now I can "either or" the TV and the browser. GoogleTV will be a seamless integration. I can watch Sean Hannity or Bill Orieley and fire an SMS or email to their blob as soon as they provoke a thought. How more cool could it get? For a 65 year old geek like me this would be super exciting!

  • I am looking forward to try Google TV.

  • The translate thing is pretty cool, but I'd rather learn German myself. It gives you quite a lot of prestige :P

  • boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing shit

  • worst camera man in the history...

  • "In 2003 the Federal Communications Commission, under Chairman Michael Powell, sought to significantly relax media outlet ownership regulations. In Prometheus Radio Project v. FCC, a number of broadcasters and citizens groups, including the Consumer Federation of America, the National Council of Churches of Christ, and Media Alliance, sued to prevent the FCC from following through on the decision. Prometheus was represented by Andrew Jay Schwartzman and Cheryl Leanza of the Media Access Project.

  • "On September 3, 2003, the U.S. Third Circuit Court of Appeals issued a stay which prevented the new rules from being enforced pending the outcome of the litigation. In 2004, the majority ruled 2-1 in favor of Prometheus and mandated the FCC re-examine its media ownership rules. They ruled that a "diversity index" used by the FCC to weigh cross-ownership (of radio, television and newspapers) employed several "irrational"

  • /wiki/Prometheus_Radio_Project

"Prometheus Radio Project maintains that a free, diverse, and democratic media is critical to the political and cultural health of our nation; yet there exists unprecedented levels of media consolidation and lack of content diversity across the media landscape. The organization works toward a future characterized by ready access to media outlets and a broad selection of cultural and information media resources."

So Google, what does it mean when that corporation uses people to get them to get you people where you all at today, with out credit or compensation.?

  • idk why this is a suggestion for the worst ytp ever

  • One more ting, Im watching this on my TV, does that mean Im from the future?

  • "places like Europe", mwahahahahahaha

  • wow conversation mode of Google translate... maybe I won't have to spend time to learn foreign languages anymore.

  • How could you get such people talking of such technologies while the audio quality is that bad? Not to mention the genius cameraman.

  • Voice is very important for victory for example if people did not voice out their thoughts and let themselves be trampled on and lead unjust-fully, we would not have achieved victory and peace.

  • mr schmidt is good but , please, give him a pad.....is not possible that this guy is talking about future and he's reading from a piece of paper!!!

  • Volume is so low..

  • i hate bing and yahoo

    google is the best =)

  • @jaganshows can you explain to me why you would be a Google-fan, while the are doing bad things, not thinking about privacy etc??????????????

  • @mij43214321 even Hitler, Mao Tse-Tung, Stalin, and Kim Jong Il had fans. why would you ask why some one is a fan of a company that does something useful and doesnt murder millions of people? and ig you want to be so private why do you use the internet... or even go out side for that matter

  • @mij43214321 what etc... ? Google never made the claim it keeps everything you search private, in order for it to make the improvements it does. if you dont like it, dont use it. And my explanation for being a google fan, is they give me an incredibly huge amount of free stuff. which i use daily. That alone is justification enough.

  • @MeekErinovski Keep in mind: nothing is free.

  • 10% of american people are playing FarmVille every day... wtf!?

  • @xXZarlachXx they can't find anything creative to do with their lives...

    sad i know :(

  • should show the things that are shown on the screen so we know what they're showing in the moment.

  • Google TV must have DVB-T/C decoding if its going be a hit in Europe.

  • they should have used an led wall screen to it will be much clearer and much more einteresting to watch

  • that was so long that at 42:44 i thought the water bottle was a vodka bottle!

    LOL

  • dude you are boring

  • I was there. I wish I had asked the question during Q&A: "What's up with there being no Google Marketplace allowed on cheap Android tablets and laptops that are shown by Chinese and French companies at trade shows like IFA?"

  • @Charbax I think the answer is that Google tries to sabotage all tablets which are not using Chrome OS - they don't want us to use Android (and I don't want to use Chrome OS so tough luck google)

  • nobody watched the whole video

  • @tpda1990 wrong

  • lol, black-brown is the hazelnut...^^

  • real time voice translation was gr8

  • That camera man is fired for sure, just google earth the camera man.

  • 42:44

  • Eric Schmidt is evil

  • The camera dude should focus on the projection a little so we can see what there doing, that would be cool. but honestly the have some cool stuff on here. a huge google fanboy, fo sho

  • *Skips through to QnA*

  • @KRCChannel I do. I'm a huge Google fanboy and love pretty much every product they put out. I'm also interested in business and technology in general, so they're worth watching. And yes, I watched the entire Google Instant search event live. Didn't leave my chair until it was done :)

  • net neutrality? more money? don't be evil?

  • Who actually watches these 1 hour videos by Google? I get to about 25 seconds and give up..

  • @KRCChannel I Do

  • @KRCChannel I do

  • @KRCChannel Agreed. Highlights, please.

  • Obviously nobody gives a toss, just do it.

  • Question: Can I point my phone at a person and get information about him/her?

    Schmidt: No, it's too creepy.

    LOL

  • who is the idiot who filmed this thing... you cant see the demos!

  • Yes, I'll grant you that Dr. Schmidt is not the most fascinating speaker, but there's some very thought provoking points and demonstrations in this video.

Here are three 5 in this video that will change the world as we know it:

    1. Mobile super computing

    2. Smartphone adoption hitting 3 or 4 Billion

    3. Voice commands becoming common place

    4. Turning your television into an Internet browser

    5. Replacing the economics of scarcity with ubiquity

Also, LOL listen for really long "uuuhhhh" @ 14:48.

  • somebody makes some noise! i can't hear!

  • lol is tought it was "Eric Schmidt speaks at FAIL"

  • That girl is nervous as hell

  • turn up the volume! Can hardly hear a thing.

  • 14:40 lol ... he has to look up why google is doing what google is doing!

I like you google but ... sometimes you really scare me.

  • bah the camera man only focus on the speaker

  • 5:50 that should work

  • 0:05:40 is when he actually comes on stage. you are welcome

  • @analyzingfunny No , it's Working Efficiently

  • alter, learn english

  • Over 1 Hour Speaking?!?!

    ITS BORING

  • being the cameraman would be so much fun *jealous*
