@deathlordX31 yeah but the balance is nowhere near as good as league of legends at its current state. EG. Extremely strong nukers such as lina, Zeus will kill like crazy early-mid game. But late game they will scale off after everyone has magic resist and they have no magic penetration to counter that. unlike LoL You can increase damage of spells as well as auto attacks. So aka the balance needs to be fixed or the game wont get far.

actually LOL is a ripoff Dota came years after Dota was developed - so yes Dota 2 is next step of Dota (so it might be similar to LOL as LOL just copied Dota).

I play orginal Dota for last 6 years and I also played LOL and HoN when they came up and I like that Dota 2 keeps pro spirit of Dota 1 while enchances the graphics and interface (even if as you say it is inspired by LoL - maybe it is a payback time for Dota to take some of the 2 copycats for itself :))

1) Unstable current deals damage and slows enemies that cast spells on him.

2) Plasma field does damage twice to enemies when the ring hits them, and does more damage the further away the enemies are when hit.
