I use Ableton Live and Guitar Rig mostly... (guitar "drum" sounds are basically lots of fuzz, filters and compressors. signal is also splitted for "bass" and "snare", so I can control with foot pedal "which drum I hit"). I also use some of ableton's bundled plugins and some freeware fx...
All the controls are mapped thru Bome's Midi Translator, with which I can launch multiple clips at once and basically control everything from effects to email with my feet... :)
