Thanks for telling your story. It is so true that when people think of autism, they think of a upper-class and white, and think of a uncontrollably kid that is violent and borderline retarded. When in reality, autism is more complex and varied than that, and peopel with autism come from all walks of life.

your story is so important.  But it is still so today. Families with little formal education are more likely to be told their child is emotionally disturbed, psychotic, or that the child's problems are due to poor parenting.

I want to also start a website in support of Parents of autistic chilren,for "I am" autistic. I am so very proud of this video for it has answered my question of the spectrum of my disoder though out my past for I was not diagnoised until the age of 44,but so that you know,I am not in pain in my disorder for it is the ones affected outside of me that I see suffer wanting me to know something,I can't miss if I never knew it,does that make sense to you respectfully,Miss?
