Get maemo mapper with 3rd party solution for voice guided directions is much better than Ovi Maps.

@Railroadmaster One of the reasons I got this phone was for the GPS. It is a bit upsetting when I need to get more added to it. But thanks for the suggestion.

I'm really confused between this phone, nexus one and motorola milestone. This phone looks great but navigation is one of the main reason why I may go with Nokia. I knwo that there is no voice navigation but are there turn by turn directions? Also the lack of support by nvidia is appalling. Even the X6 is in the ovi maps list and it is being released in march. I dont have a data plan btw, so I am really confused and thats why liked the idea of gps without data plan.

Do you think that the Ovi Maps 3.03 is coming to N900? Also, are there turn by turn and voice directions. I am really interested in the phone but from what I've heard it needs the ovi maps 3.

@badsubby There are some rumours that indicate it may, eventually get Ovi Maps v3 (or a version similar to v3 on Symbian), but no solid info yet unfortch.
