  • GREAT!!

  • 3 people with their heads so far up the ass.

  • Nice work. I would like to request an STS tribute to the steam locomotives on the Grand Canyon Railway (#18, #29, and #4960)

  • Cool daylight.

  • I would say, no name is good enough for this beauty. The flying daylight would be appropiate.

And when using Window Movie Live Maker instead of WMM you have the possibility to upload 1080p. Firts I publish it to the hard disk, and then I upload it from You Tube. Well see it for yourself if you like to the latest flying HOo GS4. regards from the flying dutchman. :-))

  • music is kinda gay... cool shots though.

  • I love this locomotive! So beautiful, wish I could have seen this running in real life! I've only seen N&W 611 and 1218 as well as Sou 4501 all wonderful engines! I have chased the 1218 when I was younger with my dad and have been on a train being pulled by the 611! Also, have been in the cab of the 611 while it was in Cincinnati!!! lol

  • If the 2467 was able to run, they could probably make a double header with 2467, & 2472. Later on, the 4449 would make a photo runby, passing the dounble header. Who likes my idea?

  • awsome mate i love both songs and the loco its the USA's Flying scotsman

  • @34002salisbury I wouldn't say it's the USA's Flying Scotsman, that honor has to go to UP 844

  • @spacewizard1 yeah 4449 is USA's mallard

  • @brickmaster24 She is none of the above, she is Southern Pacific's Daylight.

  • @spacewizard1 ok

also i've just noticed you've got a clip of a similar loc to te flying scotsman in this vid

  • @spacewizard1 I disagree for two points; 1.) 4449 usually doesn't have diesel helpers attached to it, and 2.) she's well painted and semi-streamlined, giving her cleaner lines and true beauty with a matching train. Also, with the UP wanting the ORHF out soon, it saddens me to think of how many historic cars they'll loose.

  • man i would love to see her she is so awesome

  • its sad that they dont use the daylight coaches anymore. great vid.

  • They do. They just need to meet Amtrak specifications to run on excursions. They still use Daylight cars for the Holiday Express, only 3 but atleast the use them.

  • Were can I get Iron Horse?

  • That is awsome man. I liked the part where she double headed with my favorite mainliner, SP 2472.

  • Did you use windows movie maker for this and the other videos?

  • Yes, That is really the only movie editing software I have on my Computer. Though my Parent's computer has Pinnicale on it, I only use it for VHS-PC backups.

  • Cool, can you show me how you did it? I want to try and make one.

  • dose anyone know what the music played in the 4449 daylight express movie or the composer or composers in that movie?

  • If you mean the Shining Time Station Theme, I'm not sure who sang that one. If you mean "Iron Horse" that was written and sung by a british group called Christe

  • Omg the Keddie Wye..

  • truely awesome video!!! best set of railfanning clips I've seen,

Well put together and the songs match well!!!

I can't say enough! You impressed this train buff!!

  • I hope you could do one with 4449 in American Freedom Train colors.

  • Don't get your hopes up. As I said numerous times I don't do requests of any kind. I'm Not taking suggestions for locomotives either. I have something bigger planned for the future

  • But Pentrex has a DVD called Daylight Freedom Special, and it has a bonus feature of 4449 in 1976, maybe you could use the footage from it.

  • Right now I don't have the money for it. the book bill from SLU this semester was close to 700 dollars and I don't have a job at the moment so I'm basically just holding what I have left for next semester. Also, I just don't have the time to make this stuff like I use too. Besides if what I'm planning on can work you'll have something better than this to comment on

  • By the way, how where you able to put this together?

Because I want to try something like this.

  • Can you do a NKP 587 tribute video please?

  • Could you do one with SP&S 700?

  • spacewizard1, i just want to say thanks for accepting the video response, it means alot. thanks very much and keep on steamin :)

  • Ok, I'm sorry about what I wrote in one of my comments. Can you please do a 2472 version as a tribute to the Golden Gate Railroad Museum. I'm a volunteer and I work with them on Saturday's.

Plus we have a new DVD, maybe you can use the footage from it.

  • I love Shining Time Station!

  • its fine

  • you should do a NKP 765 one

  • Sorry I don't do requests.

  • I did the SP doubleheader in TRS2004 once

  • i love this video

  • You love it do you, well why don't you add it to your favorites?

  • alright what have i gotta loose alright in you go mr 4449 video

  • I think you mean Miss 4449 video, all steamers are ladies.

  • i knew that already besides 4449 was used in the full bucketniers and his name was luke so that's why i siad mr

  • That's not quite true. There is one exception. I'm talking about, none other than, "Big Boy". You can't call "Big Boy" a lady. Just like how you can't call The General Lee a girl, like you can with every other car.

  • Actually, even the Big Boys are often refered to as girls.

  • I hope the 4449 and the 2472 doublehead again soon. Speaking of do you think you can do a show like this with 2472?

  • Out of a couple hundred GS 1's, 2's, and 4's , only the 4449 was saved. Thanks to Jack Holst, who kept the engines' bearings and rods oiled, the SP 4449 is operationable. Too he died in '72 and didn't get to see it restored in '76 to lead the Freedom Train :(

  • Actually there is another locomotive that is similar to the 4449 in existance. It's the 4460 at the museum of Transport near St. Louis. Sure it's a GS-6 but it is of the same type of locomotive.

  • Awesome! I love both "Iron Horse" by Christie and the Southern Pacific Daylights!

  • Best engine ever!!!!!!

  • what is that strange train at 1:05

  • I'm not sure, all I know is that is a british steam locomotive and I put in there to represent the "other side."

  • that look like the flying Scotsman when they brough it to the US to run its definatly British

  • Appears to be a former LNER A3 in BR livery.

  • Yes, it's a BR A3 and it's from the video "The Golden Age of Steam Trains".

  • you rock sp 4449

  • ...wait how do i know this video won't disappear after i watch after a few days

  • It won't. There would not be any reason for it to come down. All copyrights and such have been acknowledged and the like. Glad you liked the video.

  • all right then YOU ROCK SPACEWIZARD1

  • it dos'nt even have terms of violation

  • well sooner or later your account will be suspended then who will be the shining time station intro and ending creator

  • well your account will be deleted and this video will disappear what we need is a back up plan

  • can this be true my shining time station fan has finally made a 4449 intro and ending

  • Fantastic vid, it's locomotives like Daylight that really make people see the beauty of steam engines. Keep up the heart warming work.

  • Fantastic video. 5 stars and 2 thumbs up! It deserves nothing less! By the way, I had no idea that Southern Pacific #4449 had doubleheaded with Southern Pacific #2472 before. It was nice to see that.

  • Thanks for the comment. That footage with the 2472/4449 doubleheader came from the Pentrex tape "San Jose Steam Celebration," if anyone is interested.

  • Very nice!
