  • LMAO, I've heard cuttin people say, "you don't want to get a good cuttin horse too broke" I think this guy took that idea too far.

  • can that sob

  • LOL, this is cutting at its best right? The rider handled really correctly, all you can when a horse starts bucking is trying to steer him somewhere just like he did! Nicely solved!!

  • Very well ridden! I like how he just handled it. Didn't get all aggressive acting on the horse, just dealt nicely with the situation and seemed to be ok with it like he was going to just move on. Very nice!

  • good job buckeroo

  • lol the horse is saying, "Yipee!! Lets kick the cows!!"

  • Alrighty than. lol "Just want to see if you were paying attention" says the horse. and just as fast as it started, it's over. Going "What? wasn't that fun for you? it was fun for me." Great job sticking.

  • lol that horse is just telling his rider what discipline he would have liked to do ratter than puching cows :p

  • wow, that was some impressive riding! horses like that whose job is to be fast and turn quickly can be very hard to stay on when they're acting up, more so than other horses in most disciplines.

  • haha, theres a cowboy :P

  • @AnimalLeftist Uhmm if I may? I did not see any over-flexion here, there might of been discomfort in the saddle or maybe spurs that were bothering the horse, but I believe that the over-flexion to which you are referring to happened once the horse actually started bucking, and it was not caused by the rider. And if you watch the video carefully, you will notice that there was barely any hand movement before the rodeo act started but there was a slight kick from the rider.

  • looks more like a saddle bronc than a cutting horse...lol

  • ha, its hilarious seeing people comment on here that don't know what the hell their talking about! if you wanna explain how to ride western, maybe you ought to actually rode western. teaching a horse to tuck his nose is a sign that he's giving in and ready to listen. I do that when I'm training my barrel horses to establish respect. im so sick of all these anti-rodeo people who think they know everything, when in reality they don't know shit. stop criticizing people you don't even know.

  • @TurnandBurn82 Thank you!!!!! Thank you for saying that! I've seen a lot of those comments on YouTube. Researching how to ride is not riding. There is no exact science on how to ride a horse. SORRY! I've been on many horses, and I've been riding since I was LITERALLY(I have the picture to prove it) ten months old. There is no exact science, on how horses act. They are all individual. not trying to be nasty, just sixteen years of riding experience talking.

  • @AnimalLeftist I'm done arguing with a pathetic 50 year. I actually feel sorry for you, you're such a bitter old man that you have to take to the internet and start fights with strangers to make you feel like you have a purpose. Stop bringing my horse into this. He's 26 years old and is a retired barrel horse who taught me more about riding then you'll ever know. He's healthy and well loved. Stop attacking me, and others, and go outside and enjoy your life. FIN

  • @AnimalLeftist The horse in my video is a thoroughbred, you fucking moron. He is perfectly healthy and happy. You obviously think that you're a horse expert, but you can't differ between breeds and the conformation of individual breeds? How the hell do you know how I ride? My horses are well-broke, happy, healthy, and loved. Don't you dare question that. Instead of starting fights on the internet, perhaps you should take some online courses in basic English, grammar, and spelling... Just sayin'.

  • Gosh some people on youtube are just complete asses. acting like bitches to everyone and thinking they know everything. Drives me crazy! but anyway good job staying on those were some crazy bucks.

  • @AnimalLeftist What horse are you referring to? Also, I don't know you, so don't pretend like you know me. Oh, by the way, punctuation is helpful. It'll help us common folk decipher your words of wisdom. Just sayin'...

  • Ranch sorting with a little tiny touch of Saddled Bronc Ridin! Bahaha.

  • lol too funny!

  • Bravo to you for staying on. It's hard to stay on a horse that bucks like that. That takes some serious skill. Good for you. I used to have a green broke horse that was almost 16hh tall. He'd buck so hard and his nose was down so close to the ground. Finally I was able to ride it out and he never bucked after that. So hands down to you!!

  • ha!ha!haha! how cute!!! he got exited. maybe he wants to join the bucking string part time! better cut back on his oats!!!ha!ha!ha!ha!

  • coolio if that was me i would have fallen off :) :P

  • I applaud you for staying on. That was a very good ride. People that are saying you were not doing the right thing don't know crap. IT WAS VERY NICE.

  • @EquineGall

    Do you even ride western cuz all your vids are of english, western and english tack is differnet therefor you handle it differently, this guy handled this horse awesomly, so dont go saying he did anything wrong, he did it all right.

  • I love how folks on here think they're hot shit for telling this man how it should've been done. Obviously you've never been in a horse that's broncy like this. You're worried about getting that son of gun to stop, not poking around saying 'awwhhh sweet horse pwweeeasee stop'.

  • that was an amzing job by the rider .... i would have been off ... lol but im like 110 lbs lol

  • Wow just loved the janking on the mouth there! WTF dude? You have no right to be riding a horse like that!

  • @EquineGall i can see you have never been on a bucking horse before a horse cant buck if its head is up so pulling on the reins to raise the horses head was the guys only option or he could have just sat there doing nuthing and then that could cause injury to the rider and the horse

  • @MmeLyraGirl I have been on plenty of bucking and rearing horses. You're supposed to pull on just one rein and not both. If you pull on both it just makes the horse tuck his head in farther. So pulling on both reins was NOT the guys only option.

  • @EquineGall if you reach outs and pull stait up and not back it pulls the horses head up i should know ive had to do it before exspecialy when a horse bolts they cant get very far with there head held up high

  • @MmeLyraGirl The way this guy is pulling on the horses mouth the horse would have to go against the pressure to get his head up. I don't understand why you don't see that! Ugh it just makes me so mad that people with heavy hands like his still use a friggin bit!

  • @EquineGall

    k. there is nothing he can do but pull the reins up, when hes for one riding with very lose reins... as you should when cutting. and also this guy handled this horse in a very good manner. my horse has done the same thing as this horse. bolted an bucked.

  • @EquineGall I don't know how you, or whoever trains your horses, does it but all of my horses are trained to disengage when I pull back AKA tuck their nose to their chest. I've ridden plenty of colts, and when they buck I have always been able to them to stop by getting them to disengage. I'm sure he wasn't doing anything to hurt the horse deliberately. I'm also sure that he didn't foresee this outburst and think "maybe a nice bosal would be best to save my horse's mouth since he's gonna buck."

  • @EquineGall oh wow... you no horses so well... NOT

  • @34BaRReLRaCeR43 I know more about horses than your little mind wil ever forget!

  • holy SHIT.

  • If anyone can stuck this horse bucking like that, WITH a full drape, I can bet you can't do it with completely still hands, and I can guarantee you're not thinking about staying soft and not yanking on his mouth...you're definitely going to be trying real damn hard to gather your reins up and get control of this situation before your ass gets piled.

  • Looks like the back girth isn't attatched to your other girth.. It might of been running lower and agitated him. :/

    I forget to attatch it sometimes too.

  • GREAT job staying on!

  • Well he stayed on for eight!! lol

  • 'Horse thinks to self' "Hmm......We need somethimg fun to do!!

    'Rider thinks' "Holy Crap! I love these jeans!'

    'All cows think' "Dang that horse has spunk! Holy cow! He's comin after us"

    '1 cow thinks' Hey retard dont say holy cow because we are freaking cows!......oh yeah and um you might wanna................RUN!"

  • @BreyerFreak221 LOL!!!! I can def. picture them saying that!!! hahaha

  • Cows - HOLY SH*T!

  • haha!!! love it!!! =)

  • double event

  • to everyone who scored this ride... did you miss the 2 hands?? that's a DQ, boys and girls. Haha for real though, hell of a cowboy for stayin' on!

    and to all the people arguing about whether or not to spur/ pull, what else are you gonna do?? Listen to the song "Talkin Bronc Ballet Blues" by Dave Stamey.. a humorous take on how to handle a snorty horse... Stop fightin' and enjoy the show!

  • Ride 'em cowboy!

  • And why was he yanking on the horses mouth the whole time?!?! That's only gunna make him/her buck more!

  • @kahern11 no it doesnt,,, if a horse cant get its head down it cant buck... he was doing the right thing n getting its head up...

  • @trblmaker11 I get why she said it looked he was yanking though cuz he was bouncing all over (because of the bucking) and his hand was moving a lit so it looked more like yanking. But I agree with what you said.

  • @trblmaker11 ya all the arm chair cowboys saying how they would do it right, but you can't argue with results, he stayed in the saddle and the horse stopped bucking.

  • @trblmaker11 You are right, but you have to admit he was pulling a bit hard on his/her mouth.

  • I think this has happened to this cowboy a time or two! Did they have to settle the cattle again? Ha

  • its the ones who make their 8 seconds..... when they're NOT riding rough stock that everyone should be cheering for! (: love this.

  • most nice cutter bred horses can buck.... i would no

  • OK....gluing your ass to a saddle is cheating...

  • @alsearider *lol* I don't blame 'em! You've seen the way those horses move! You GOT to have a good seat in order to keep from getting thrown just by their quick movement! *lol* I used to be able to ride like that. I'm working on getting my seat back, though. ^_^

  • the people laughing in the back round was sooo funny

  • HAHA!! As my dad Ralph used to say, "over and under and let him go..you got an ocean on both sides of ya!!! Just stay aboard and you'll be fine! But plz reinforce that over and under and make him go faster...he cant buck if he's running faster.." LOL!!! Yes, gotta love we cutters!!!

  • What do you use?

  • I have watched this 20 times and still laugh. He deserves a prize!

  • The cows are like WTF?!?! lol! This is a great new addition to rodeo :)

  • i need some of those pants too! lol

  • and this is why i LOVE rodeo'in

  • hahaha love it. the horse was like "yeah fuck this"

  • Lol the cows are like HOLY CRAP!!!!

  • The cattle freaks out haha

  • A beautiful example of a one rain stop!

  • @Tawnycloud557 A one rein stop isnt gonna stop a horse thats bucking like crazy...

  • @LifeLovinCowgirl so true, but I would rather try to use a one rain stop than nothing

  • @Tawnycloud557 Even if it means the horse flips over on you? lol

  • @LifeLovinCowgirl Yesh. lol No not really. I have had a horse flip on me before while using a one rein stop..... good times.

  • @Tawnycloud557 lol hence the reason I dont use them lol

  • yeehaw lol

  • if you watch carefully the horse is still cutting the cow as he bucks but the rider distracts the horse from the cow by yanking on the rains.

  • That horse must be sired by Sonita's Last. The best cutting horse bucking horses I've ever seen.

    Larry T.

  • somebody was a little fresh. haha

  • Velcro butt! Good ride guy:)

  • HOT QUIT LOL.

    So much for settling the cattle.

    Good job staying and using a one rein stop.

  • Whiplash! Haha xP

  • old video on you tube where the horse actually thinks about buckin a little ha

  • i don't know what kind of score you got in the cutting but i think that was atleast an 85 point ride

  • WOOHOO! hahaha

  • LOL love how the crowd starts cheering! Woohoo cutting rodeo! It's a lot better than the crown booing at him! I would definatley feel much better knowing the crowd cheered even though my horse acted up and lost the competition!

  • Oh my god :O

  • Gotta love cutting fans. Instead of saying "Oh No!!" They cheer! LOL

  • Horrible !

  • lol

    horse "ahhh"

    cows "Wtf?"

  • oops....

  • I love the cows they were like WTF?! A new cutting tactic scare the shit out of the cows with erratic behavior .

  • Daim, that's some good riding!

  • Oh my god my horse isn't the only one that does that when your at a show!! I don't feel alone any more!!

  • Wow....xD

  • Hah. Wow .. that 's funny . ;D

  • great !

    This video is.... I like it! :)

  • I'd be pissed if the people in the stands started doing that when my horse bucked. :P Doesn't really help anything. Then again, I guess those horses are much more used to crowds and noise then mine. hah.

  • im stoked im not the only one.

  • hehe i gues we all have diferent styles of doing things

  • Hang on cowboy! there goes first place lol

  • jah na klar...hauptsache immer schön an den zügeln rumruppen>.<

  • Okay, that made me LOL.. good job.. I think it was about 20 seconds!

  • okay, that made me LOL!! good job

  • ...yee-haw!

  • lol so much for cow cutting....

  • nice going yee haw lol good job staying on :-)

  • people annoy me. of course your meant to grab the reins and pull there head to yuor boot duhhh.I have done cutting, Whilst cutting horses, they generally use long reins, and leg controll, while they are bucking, if you lean forward to reach for reins you have a good chance of stabbing your stomach with the horn of the saddle, and the reins are that long it would be even harder. I say GOOD ON YOU BUDDIE!! Holding on :)

  • nice you stayed on pretty well

  • Nice riding!!!

  • roflol. that was great

  • Never just randomly pull up while their bucking it just makes them want to resist your command more !! Turning the horse into tight circles until he stops is the best way!! btw im a Team Penner also :)

  • When a horse does that your supposed to pull his head into your boot so all he can do is circles and the bucking stops. DUH

  • haha the cows are like : RUUN! :p

  • I love how the audience just started cheering for the rider to stay on - I've been there before and the crowd cheers louder for things like these than the actual event!

  • I wanna know where he buys those pants, cause I need some that stick to the saddle like that!

  • @CorocottasGirl haha i think if there were that kind of pants they would be sold out in like one minute ;) i think the rider in this video was tight up on the horse so that he wouldn't fall off....

  • im stoked im not the only one this happens to.

  • que le paso se olvido que en la boca tiene un freno, y al tirar la rienda se para,, ja ja fallo el sicologo

  • ahh i buck after the cow,

    cow go over there i buck this way!?

    bucking is fun,

    screw the cattle!

  • Bravo!! XD

  • lol that poor man... sounded like the announcer was sayin "be quiet" hellz yea tho... did great job stayin on... i thought he was gonna fall off

  • Horse on the muscle, 4 sure :) All looked good. Good clean ride :) I've seen pony horses after working all morning taking horses to the track get a bit froggy. I didn't see, no cinch placed wrong on purpose, just seen a horse get a little zelous. Unlike barrel horses, cowhorses think, and he thought he'd like 2 buck.

  • respect!!

  • oops....LOL!!! Oh well we all have those days...

  • Did you ever check to see if the cinch was too tight? Unless if you wanted him to buck, I wasnt sure if you were just cutting cattle.

  • i have a 2 year old cutting furtrity horse and hes better then that!

  • Good ride.

  • hang in there

  • haha!!! that did not look comfy!

  • Yeee Haw!

  • DAMN he can ride. lmao.

  • hahah too funny and NOT something you would likely see at a cutting!

  • I love the hooping and hollering from the bystanders... gotta love it

  • haha i know its so funny :)

  • he didn't even have spurs on... the horse just got excited...

  • poor things

  • wow, ya when a horse bucks , I grip with my knees, I have not fallen off yet (excludignwhen I was Like nine).

  • O: WTG staying on!!! you must be equipped with some heavy duty velcro XD... Well done!!!

  • no just a death grip on the horn

  • That too!! LOL

  • like my horse when hes really PO'd

  • damn... lol howd u stay on that? it was a one horse rodeo literally!!!! lmfao rotfl! nice job btw.

    ~~~Dortae~~~
  • HAHA i love how everyones hollerin n the background heehee somethin we all do too ^.^
  • I cut cattle for the first time this summer, it was so much fun, 2 weeks later the neighbors cows got loose and I went over and helped round them up on horse back!
  • i think it is cruelty when you make it make this with force... >.>
  • Cruelty? >.> the horse felt like doing it and this people think this is cruelty? xD kkk
    the horse just want to make the man fall xD
    i think this is cool =D and i really like horses!
  • nice ride!!! so glad my horse has never thought to do something like that while cutting!
  • haha thats was awesome good job staying on, that guy should try bronc riding
  • lol i thought this was a cutting show not a bucking show!!
  • good thing he had has saddle nice and tight!
  • way to stay on good job
  • i really hate this sort of thing.
  • lol the horse is like "screw cutting. lets go to the rodeo!"
  • pull alot maybe? and personally, i like cutting, it shows off how well the hoses "cow sense" is,in fact at high level, the rider is supposed to drop the reins and let the horse do the work
  • Comment removed
  • you want to pull their head up and keep it up with a steady hand, not yank and jerk over and over. with a curb, you can only imagine how painful those yanks are to the horse, and i wouldn't be surprised if they were the cause or instigator for the horse to continue to buck because he was in pain...
  • Im sorry, what are you talking about? I don't think I posted on this?
  • im sorry, i dont remember who i posted my comment to, but their comment is now gone... youtube being stupid? sorry for bothering you...
  • i completely agree with you
  • she was talking about how you control a normal horse that is not bucking
  • Your actually clueless, I know what she was talking about..
  • Oh, and I'm impressed that the guy stayed on, and it looks like he was trying to do a one rein stop, but he executed it horribly. Could have gotten the horse to stop bucking a lot sooner had he just slid his hand up the rein farther.
  • anyone else thinking... 'hah.. please fall off??'
