  • and who is going to decide what is illegal behavior exactly?

  • SBS os the best news we got ignoramus.

The issue however is not about slowing the Internet down - the issue is whether our government should be able to control what we are allowed to see or read!!!!

  • SBS sucks

  • Are the subtitles necessary?

Can someone from oversseas please answer, I'm genuinely curious.

I would like to travel and it would be good to know in advance if my accent is going to be a comunications issue.

  • @DottyDotDitto You can turn closed captions off by clicking the button on the right hand side of the video. Not sure why they're on by default.

  • @AshleyKyd Ahh, found it, thank you. This new you tube set-up scares and confuses me, lol

  • @DottyDotDitto

Us here i can understand everything said. As long as you don't slur your speech you should be okay.

  • On one issue regarding this filter, pedophilia will now move to kidnapping children once material isn't available on the internet for their disgusting satisfaction. Internet filtering won't stop a pedophile doing what he wants. They will just find another way.

  • @LOLDISNEYLAND

That's laughable, the material will always be available online no matter how much money they spend on filtering.

Granted, child sex will never go out of style. Do they think by just keeping it out of sight popele will stop paying for child sex?

  • Basically in a nutshell, it is a Waste of money on unreliable technology that wont work as intended, internet filtering technology is unreliable at best, trying to filter internet access is like fucking for virginity, it wont even work half the time, but it will slow everything down to the point where no one bothers to use the internet anymore and broadband companies start spitting chips. China apparently has internet filtering to, and plenty of hackers that get around it on a daily basis.

  • They want to put fluoride in all the UK water system the pretext to protect children. It also makes folks docile. Why can't they go after the illegal sites and shut them down, and leave the web uncensored? This is the thin end of the information control wedge. It would be like saying lets lock up all the decent folks so the criminals can't get them, and leave all the criminals roaming free! Duh. By design systems have back doors that the authorities know about.

  • The Australian constitution contains an implied right to political freedom. Blocking an anti abortion site can easily be seen as as political censorship (I'm not pro life but I believe in freedom of speech). Someone with the resources needs to take the federal government to court and settle this.

  • This is why Australians are always isolated from the world. They still have the value and behaviour of PRISONERS.

Autually, I should never type this massage because it is the golden rule not to talk to PRISONERS.

    AUSTRALIAN F**K OFF!!!

(Don't sent me a message. I will not read them)

  • Spoken like a true ignorant fool. Australia is a multicultural nation dickhead!.

  • Absolutely right. The Clean Feed will NOT affect P2P where the majority of these "illegal transactions" go on.

  • hmmm nerds vs stupid child wise lady or conroy who knows more when it comes to computers! i'd side with the nerds.
