But what i did figure out, was that it wasnt the Mac OS or anything, it was the way to runescape graphics reacted with the search browser. since jagex programms and designs with PCs hey have to do a followup check for macs after the new update comes out. so people with macs, usually egt screwed over on the runescape updates. :(
Uninstall safari 5.0 and download safari 4, if you can. If not, try downloading Mozilla Firefox. (go to MacUpdate. C0m) Playing RS on Mozilla is different. But once you get used to it it's fine. Playing on Mozilla the flickering screen happens 2 times. And I've been playing well over 20 hours hahah(no life right there) . Mozilla harbors the exact problem, it just doesn't happen that fast. try using Firefox :)
it works much better, and doesnt crash a lot. heres the download link for firefox ^^.
Go to MacUpdate. c o m and search firefox in the search bar. and BOOM. its the first one :)
