This song is called Betsy Linkins he's done some changes the real version is played slow and a capo added and not played twice on each string and mainly done on the high notes;) in DADGAD tunning..

@Rob2977 are you sure it isnt just drop d tuning on the bottom (big) e string. i wish i had the main parts of this tabbed or at least played slow. i tried the tuning you mentioned and it didnt seem right. i am far from an expert btw..

@berrybck1 Depending how you do your drop D tunning...make sure your first top low chord sounds like your 3 low pull them both at the same time till it blends...then do a d without the pinky. I think it's one of the guitar players favorite.Play around with that chord by using your fingers try not to use your pick at first it gets complicated.

What TV appearance was he making? Do you work at the set there where he was appearing?

The network, Turner South, was putting together an ad campaign featuring famous and infamous southerners and Travis was kind enough to show up for the shoot. I don't work on the set, I found a bunch of these old tapes about to get thrown in the trash and started going through them. He should do more stuff like this. I just posted a different camera angle of the same song if your interested. Thanks!

I got to admit, it isn't often you catch Travis make a mistake with his guitar picking but there in a spot, it sounded like he just wasn't getting his fingers on the right strings. Great job though, love the tunes.

Thanks for the comment. Yeah, he was a little cold, he came in without his guitar not expecting he'd have to play but the producers had other ideas. They had a guitar on the set and so what you see is him both warming up and getting to know this strange guitar.
