  • "God created beers to stop prop forwards from taking over the world". Never gets old.

  • Mike Cron is the man. I wouldnt fuck with him

  • its a pleasure to watch when these monsters are training

  • im a straight man, but their quads are a delight

  • Mike Cron = Scrum God

  • Hey i have started rugby recently (about 2 months ago), and i was wondering where i should play on the field? im 13, 6 ft, quite fast, broud shouldered and strong. thanks.

  • @roshan19981 Well im 14 and been playing rugby for about a couple months too. but im not the fast . I play hooker. Yu could probably play flanker, or like inside center or outside center or full back

  • @roshan19981 maybe 2nd row, or scrumhalf

  • @BLOGGENIE

You're are a fucking douchebag, hey...

  • @BLOGGENIE I also love smoking crack. Tell us more of your stunning insights

  • SECOND ROW! all the way (:

  • SATURDAY IS A RUGBY DAY

  • that guy is one hell of a teacher when it comes to rugby

  • im going to play rugby i am 5 '7 , 120 pounds i am fast and have soccer experience where would be a good spot for me? i am 16 and still putting on weight

  • @slayerofthenewbz522 I would advice at least for now playing either wing or scrumhalf. When you fill out more you could consider trying your hand at center or flanker. You just have to be a bit bigger to play in other positions. I'm 170 pounds and I'm definitely not a big guy and I play on a U16 team.

  • @slayerofthenewbz522 get rdy for the wing :)

  • y r u a prop if u h8 scrums fukn stupid cunt.play soccer

  • i hurt both my sholders like crazy in scrums (playing hooker) but i keep saying, i love this freakin sport :)

  • @xChriz503 i have a broken collarbone :)) and i still play prop

  • im going to be a flanker. my previous positions were wing anf fullback and im wondering what kind of boot i should get. after the ones i have now wear off.

their anklecut, wide sg boots 8 stud.

i was thinking since ill be scrumming and rucking that i should get a hard toe, sg 9 stud hightop boot. (i play blindside)

  • i used to play prop and shoulders hurt like hell for all the engages

  • wats the name of there wing on the right side?

  • 2:17

  • hu is the hooker ?

  • Anton Oliver

  • terrifying and educational

  • what's the song called in this vid ?

  • moana and the moa hunters

  • how do they get s much power?

  • Idk? do the all blacks have a weight training program?

  • @CoNsPiRaCy93 yeah your watchin it

  • @CoNsPiRaCy93 I don't think so. They come out of the womb full-sized. Raised by animals to become better animals!

  • @hellojacobhitch4545 i know, they power so low, with the props i play with its hard to get there

  • wish chris jack could play 4 nz again.

he was good at 2nd row

  • next year

  • What a great team the AB 2007 side were. They beat the WC winning Bok side in both Tri Nation games that year. Were it not for a totally incompetent refereeing performance in the QF, this side might have gone all the way.

  • front raws eules

  • that has to be a full water tank for the weight on that machine and if my guess is right, that is just straight stupid and scary because all those dudes are tanks

  • what weight is on the machine??

  • the best forwards position in a prop or a lock (2nd row) they have 2 push hardest in scrums and mauls and make lots of tackles

  • damn that would hurt with that impact: im a hooker

  • yeah dude

    that doesn't look to fun

    lol i was a wing

  • If Only I Can Play Backline =c, But To Bad I'm A Second Row....

  • the weight on the scrum machine looks nasty.

  • lol second rowers are the hard workers in the scrum =P, i should know

  • i play as a scrum-half..

  • fuckin power house

  • Yeah, this is my first year. I'm a flanker.

  • I'm a hooker, I've been playing for 4 years now, im 15, 5'6, 175 pounds, squatting 80Kg, Benching 65kg.. Its not that good I know but my favourite aspect of the game is running with the ball in hand =]

  • I was like you. i'm 5'6'' 210 now. I'm starting wing forward and hooker now.

  • this is my first year playing rugby and im a prop. i play in michigan and i dont know the rules very well but i didnt think you could drive in a scrum until the ball was rolled in.

  • I also play in michigan as a High School Team sponsored by the Detroit Tradesmen. The rule is (at least for our division) that you can drive a maximum or 3 metres (also depends on the sir). This is the rule for High School at least. But later you can drive almost as far as you want.

  • You're not, but the best teams will always try to put "The Hit" on fast in the scrum to get a leg up on their opponents.

  • What side do you play? Loose-head or tight-head?

  • are you a loosehead or tighthead?

  • I'm a prop myself.. I weigh 95 kilos at 14 years... Play against props of 16, and they have a lot of trouble from me..;) Scrum is indeed the best part! :D Shoot for their sternum ans shatter them!

  • Wing centre or fullback. Simple enough.

If by hit you mean tackle then thats good.

if by hit you mean punch, take up boxing.

  • I just started to play the sport and I have no clue what position I should play, I'm 15 5''5 130 pounds and I am pretty fast, the only thing is I like to hit people so if anyone can help that would be useful.

  • half back maybe

or fly half if your ball handling and kicking is good

  • thats just massive! im a lock myself, and to me, the srums are the best part of the game! except for making huge tackles on the backs of course =)

  • dass badd

  • HOOAAH! ENGAGE!!! PUSH!!! HOAAAH!!!

  • That's more than a 100kg between them. o_O

  • I wouldn't like to scrum against them!!!

  • @rednech23 i would

  • Anyone know how much weight is on the scrum machine?

  • so where areound 2,400lbs a pallet of cinder blocks like that usually weights around that

  • Jesus christ...thats alot of weight...

Plus like, four people standing on the base of the Scrum Machine...

  • Was McCaw on there? I dont think I saw him?

  • Pity the second row when the front row strain so hard they fart.

  • lmao, never happened to me

  • Great video. Excellent audio quality.

  • lock FTW! =]

  • Number 8 FTW! =]

  • TIGHTHEAD PROP, HELL YEAH

  • number 10 ftw!!!!!

  • I love scrums!!! I play both loose-head and tight-head prop but prefer tight-head!!! Can play hooker and blindside flanker too!!! Im not even physicaly built for a prop!!! more like a hooker!!! I just got good technique which is most of the scrum and a very strong lower body and core!!! Scrumming is the heart of the forward pack!!! GO THE SCRUM!!! Oh yeah and for those who think us Front rowers are slow its because the scrum takes alot out of you!!! thats why its not for the faint at heart!!!

  • being a bigger guy is no problem. its more fun to knock the shit out of smaller guys.

  • If you can that is some small fellas are pretty tough!!! And i have no problem at taking down the big guys!!! The bigger you are the harder you fall!!!

  • Pray..!! that we don't fall on you... ;o)

  • I hate scrums (but i still love the game) i play prop and recently hurt my neck in the scrum. I'm thinking of changing positions so could anyone tell me where a 14 year old 5 foot 11, broad shouldered, average speed person would play?

  • somewhere in the back row maybe no8

  • You are still young, and plenty of years to grow. Start developing some hands and speed, with your size you should make a great inside center for crashing

  • @crs208 David Pocock is the same size about. Crs208 is right your young, you could be wing if you get your trainings right

  • @crs208 that would be an absolute animal centre, i'm looking forward to seeing basterode or what ever his name is develop, but sonny bill kicks ass at centre for me :D

  • try out 8man or flanker, work on your speed and you should be good

  • At 14, being 5'11, should really make you a Forward Lock.

Good position really, and you don't get hit when the ref isn't looking xD

  • @pixiemorph

From your comment, you need to work a bit on ur core strength and body position.

At your age, you should start building all round strength but never ever neglect your core and flexibility: they prevent you from getting injured.

  • @pixiemorph

    prolly scrum half or flanker.

fullback if you can kickwell. but fullback is borring as fuuuuuuuuck

  • @pixiemorph Man i was your size at school but fast work on speed and fitness bro and then you can play anywhere in the backs work on the basic skill too passing kicking stepping both feet

  • @pixiemorph hey man its been 2 years how has the positiion change gone? hope it went awesome.

  • @pixiemorph i Know your Older Know That Was A Two Year Old Comment haha But.

i Am The Same As You ( or You two Years Ago )

And i Play Second Row Or Number 8 So Maybe There if Your Still Faced With That Problem.

  • @pixiemorph Dude that's fantastic that you're already playing rugby...and you're freaking 14??? You'll be a beast by 18

  • @SugarHoneyIceTea90 I'v been playing wing since 12 :D changed to flank at 14, and prop at 15, I now play prop for my schools first team 1/2 years early at age 16 :3

which is weird cuz I'm like 5,8 and my upper body is shit :L (lower body is awesome :3 )

  • @pixiemorph why don't you pick up a lot of fitness and work on some speed and go for flanker?

on my team, we have a inside centre, 5'7 around 190 lbs..he's got a hooker build but he can run fast and great hands. used to be a fullback. so you can try moving to 12.

  • @pixiemorph i play lock (the 5 man), im 16, 6'4", 220lb

  • @pixiemorph You should play second row, thats where i play, there is not not as much strain put on the neck but the broad shoulders will be tested, brilliant position to play! also i wouldn't advise moving to the backs, this a hard move for a forward learning all the backs moves! give second row a try!

    Ulster U19 Second row

  • bets part and the hardest part of rugby is in the front row, i know, i've played there for 10 years, but i fucking love the graft

  • We had Grahm henry come to our school and coah us for a day. God for his age he is amazing! Best day of my rugby life!

  • high quality grass lol

  • i play prop and eight and my team was trying me out for wing lol.they were like "bro youll b mean as wing" but playing wing is tough shit when u use to the forwards but i hate prop i like 8 best

  • where is richie mccaw ?

  • Who would be a prop?

    Ouch.

  • well haha..i was a loosehead for a bit but my main is lock..my neck muscles are bulging and my nose has been broken 5 times from getting kicked in the face from the opposing team's hooker

  • i play prop... nd i can tell u.. im taking note of wat they're doing here so i can improve myself :D

  • proping is fuckin fun but N8 is got to be a bit better

  • haha yea i love it ay

  • look so straight their backs are!

    Love rugby, stand in black

  • see how low they go...also the seccond row binding is triangle thru the legs, this drives the shoulder, Jacko's shoulder into the props giving them real mean power.

now the AB scrum is the best in the world. did

see how we wasted the bok scrum in the last test...

    go ABs go.

  • we do the exact same exercises when we train in the team sweden rugby academy!

  • studds

  • can someone tell mi who is the all blacks no.8 for 2008 pls?

  • it's jerome kaino as far as i know

  • carl hayman, best in world.

  • intelligent discussion there about social loafing

  • that's what i call training! french scrum is so bad now (dommage avant on gérait) but I love NZ team, they're amazing

  • i play prop or second row

  • @panzerman11

wow!! your a big guy bro!

  • have u note the second rows binding

  • Whats up with it?

  • i play prop =]

  • What a shock!!! it doesn't show the AB's masterplan in scrummaging. All step to one side and cause a wheel, unfortunately there are only a few refs that ping them for it.

  • lol they all have the same boots

  • look like a team

    work like a team

    play like a team

    live like a team

    :D

  • choke like a team?

  • haha well they have their on seasons and off seasons, but i still like em

  • Endorse one of your sponsers :]

  • well they are a team

  • awesome!!!

  • good video but you can only do so much on the machine you have to get into a real game to become a good prop theres noting like the real thing cant beat that first hit

  • i learned more watching hayman in the first scrum than i did spending a year hitting the machine. the way he kinda moves his feet back in small steps, to get a good hit, and how low he gets when he dips his hips, his knees nearly touch the ground!

  • haha nice....we need a scrum machine like that.

  • that thing is state of the art. my coach has pads on the back of his truck, puts it in reverse and eases off the brake when he says engage

  • haha mean

  • the past a specially designed to attach themselves onto the back of cars, they are for teams who do not have storage facilities for a scrum machine or lack the funds to pay a couple thousand dollars for a proper one. i would like to try the ones that attach to cars because you would be able to gently reverse the car against the players which would be a bit better than simply pushing and rolling a scrum machine.

  • WOOOHHH!!! how much are they pushing?!

  • most scrums can push about/over a ton

  • good chat on the loafing issue

  • Yeah makes a very good point, evident in some of the teams i have played in too.

  • all blacks rule

  • All Blacks Forever!!!
