hey have your fluval fx5 filter suck in any sand yet? How high do you think i should put my fluval fx5 intake? I have sand like you too

No it hasnt. I have a FX5 on my 55g too and both intake strainers are about 4-5" above the pool filter sand.

Thanks. It was a dual T8 fixture with 1:10K bulb (zoo-med; ocean sun) and 1:Actinic 420 bulb (zoo-med; coral sun).
