"According to her vida, she was married to Guilhem de Poitiers, Count of Viennois, but was in love with and sang about Raimbaut of Orange." I love that woman! :-))))))
this is one of the most beautiful songs i've ever heard, i found it on a compilation at the library and it has taken me quite abit of research to track it down.
This piece is taken from "Cansós de Trobairitz (Lyrik der Trobairitz um 1200)". I have got it on record (the recording is from 1978), but it's available on CD, too. As far as I know you can't buy it separately, it's in a box of the series "Reflexe - Stationen europäischer Musik" by EMI. I hope that I could help you. Greetings from Cologne/Germany!
Great instrumental part..but the way of singing feels so out of theme...it sounds as a barroque singer has jumped into medieval times...making either the instruments sound weird...
Yes indeed. 30 years ago the world was just learning to perform such music all over again. This is one of those recordings that helped us along to where we are now and for that it is very appreciated and valuable.
Delightful

It sounds Middle Eastern or Mediterranean like something Lebanese, Syrian or Greek.

@MysticRonin101 Actually, it also sounds like classical Indian music too.

Extraña y bella canción! Por ritmo, estructura y melodía más "vanguardista" que todo o casi todo lo que se oye por la radio. Me gusta! =)

Great song! Is this Jordi Savall's CD out of catalogue? I try to find it and I can't do it.

Well, it was recorded 30 years ago, don't forget about that! But I think Montserrat Figueras sings it very well and lively, according to the text.
