these ratings are about how many shows a girl appears in during fashion week. normally models will do fewer from one year to the next because they/their agency charges more for each appearance the longer they are around. which is why first-year girls do so many shows and veterans do fewer and fewer because designers—many of whom are losing money—can no longer afford them. anja has been working ten years. it's amazing that she is still walking so much—especially b/c she doesn't like doing them!

I think the only reason Anja isnt number 1 in this countdown is because newcomer models like Aymeline Valade are like a bit of fresh air, their face is more wanted by designers and therefore appear in more shows at the start. Let see whats gonna happen next sezon...

@Harutobi89 it's not Miss world contest. who cares that there are prettier girls. she's intelligent, elegant and well spoken person. She worked very hard to be where she's now. She's established model who doesnt have to walk 50 shows. She said once she choses only 20-25 designers each season she wants to walk for. This shows her position in fashion industry. "in my culture no one is allowed" so what do you do with people who have lisp and don't get rid of it? you don't talk to these people? you avoid them? is it some kind of modern ostracism? and for your info there are different kinds of speech impediments, i'm not a specialist in this case maybe she has one that you can't get rid of and she has to live with it.

@Harutobi89 English is not my mother language and I do understand everything what she is saying!! I think the way she talks is very charming and unique. Besides, she is very cultured, polite and smart with her words. She is perfect for me ( and for so many designers and people that really matters in fashion) I am not underrating your opinion, but you have been rude in your posts and you should open your mind/eyes towards what fashion is about!

I see your point. I think you should follow the BOMBSHELL sector of fashion industry. The models are curvy and have beautiful faces; kind of Sports illustraded models. They are gorgeous!! But in High Fashion, models have to offer more than beauty and perfect curves to survive 2 seasons... and that's why Anja Rubik is so special!

Being super perfect does not open the fashion doors , darling!! Beautiful imperfections and being unique is way more important! :)
