@snuggins2fishbait feed the minnows regular fish flakes, they will tear the flakes up, you don't even have to crush the flakes unless you have minnow fry/babies

how big is your yellow pike cichlid? i have one thats 6 inches but im not sure if thats as big a they get, i think they're a dwarf species..
